"𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒂 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒂𝒏 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒚 𝒑𝒖𝒓𝒆? 𝑶𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒃𝒚 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒂𝒍𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏 𝒊𝒕𝒔 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒕𝒉."

Many read and study the Bible, and listen to the teachings of God’s Word regularly, but the impact, effect, and fruits of the Word are not evident in their lives. And that’s mainly because they haven’t allowed the Word to gain the ascendancy over their spirits, souls, and bodies. Until the Word gains dominion over your spirit, thoughts, will, imagination, and your entire life, and until you believe and speak it daily, the ministry and potency of the Word will be limited in your life.

The Word has the innate power to produce in your life the results of what it communicates. It can transform your life and attitude positively and progressively if only you honour it always. Unfortunately, many Christians who claim to know the Word don’t behave the Word. Their character and actions contravene the Word of God they claim to know; and that’s because they only have head or sense knowledge of the Word, and not spiritual knowledge of it. They haven’t summited to the lordship of the Word in their lives. If you truly know the Word it will reflect in your conduct. The Psalmist said to the Lord: “𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝑰 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒉𝒊𝒅𝒅𝒆𝒏 𝒊𝒏 𝒎𝒚 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕, 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝒎𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒔𝒊𝒏 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕 𝒀𝒐𝒖” (𝑷𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒎 119:11 𝑵𝑲𝑱𝑽).

Truly, if the Word of God that you claim to know isn’t transforming or changing your mind-set, character, conduct, and confessions, then you really don’t know it yet. The real proof that you have the precise knowledge of the Word is the positive and progressive changes that it produces in your life. The Bible says, “𝑰𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒏𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑶𝒏𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒕𝒉, 𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆 𝒔𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒊𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆…” (𝑬𝒑𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔 4:21 𝑻𝑷𝑻).

𝐏𝐑𝐀𝐘𝐄𝐑

"𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒉 𝒓𝒖𝒍𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒐𝒐𝒓, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓 𝒊𝒔 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓."

Poverty reduces people to less than God’s dream for them, and it makes beggars and borrowers out of its victims, even though they were born with glorious destinies. Lack frustrates and hinders people’s dreams, plans, ambitions, pursuits, and destinies. That’s why you must refuse to be poor, and never fight the message of prosperity in the church, even though we know that some preachers have corrupted the message, using it for their own selfish gains.

Poverty and lack are not of God, but of the devil; and they are promoted by certain people, systems, institutions, governmental policies, and by the laziness and ignorance of the poor. But you are a child of Almighty God; so, refuse to be bound by any factor that cause or enhance poverty and lack. The following scripture tells the reason we must refuse to be poor. It says: “𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒂 𝒎𝒂𝒏 𝒊𝒔 𝒑𝒐𝒐𝒓, 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒇𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒚 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝒏𝒐 𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒉𝒊𝒎. 𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒎𝒖𝒄𝒉 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒉𝒊𝒔 “𝒇𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒔” 𝒂𝒗𝒐𝒊𝒅 𝒉𝒊𝒎–𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒈𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒑, 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒘𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒏𝒅” (𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒃𝒔 19:7 𝑻𝑷𝑻).

The very next verse to the foregoing scripture tells us one of the few things we must do in order to prosper. It says, “𝑫𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇 𝒂 𝒇𝒂𝒗𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒔𝒅𝒐𝒎. 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒄𝒂𝒏, 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒘𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆 𝒇𝒍𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒉 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒓” (𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒃𝒔 19:8 𝑻𝑷𝑻). Wisdom is the Word of God revealed. So, love and practice the instructions and principles of God’s Word for prosperity in your daily life, and you’ll see your life flourish and prosper daily.

𝐅𝐀𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍
𝘐𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘕𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘑𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘴 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵, 𝘐 𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘱𝘰𝘰𝘳, 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘬𝘦, 𝘰𝘳 𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨. 𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘺 𝘚𝘩𝘦𝘱𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘥; 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦, 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘢𝘣𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘺. "𝑫𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒅𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒔. 𝑰𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒅, 𝒌𝒆𝒆𝒑 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒃𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆. 𝑩𝒆 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒍𝒚 𝒉𝒖𝒎𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒕𝒐𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒔 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒆."

To be considerate is to be “𝘛𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘧𝘶𝘭, 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥, 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘺𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘤.” A considerate person is “𝘖𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘳 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘮 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘣𝘺 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘧𝘶𝘭, 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮.” This should be your description as a Christian. You shouldn’t be a burden to others causing them inconveniences and pains; instead, be a blessing to them, and be considerate of them.

The Bible says, “𝑳𝒆𝒕 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒔𝒆𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒅𝒐. 𝑹𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒆𝒓, 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝒊𝒔 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒐𝒐𝒏” (𝑷𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔 4:5 𝑵𝑳𝑻). Always be considerate in all you do and say. Make people comfortable around you, by being kind and loving to them, and by not being a burden to them. Plus, learn to be understanding and peaceable. Not everyone is at your level of maturity and wisdom; so, make room for people’s inefficiencies, inadequacies, and short-comings. “𝑾𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒃𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔. 𝑾𝒆 𝒎𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒆 𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒗𝒆𝒔” (𝑹𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒔 15:1 𝑵𝑳𝑻).

Don’t be such a Pastor, boss, superior, teacher, leader, parent, or Christian, who can’t be pleased or satisfied by the works or efforts of those around you or under you. Be considerate enough to acknowledge and commend their little efforts or great contributions in what they do for you or with you. Such commendations and appreciations can boost their zeal and willingness to do even more. It’s written: “…𝒊𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒐…𝒑𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅…𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆…𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒂𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒍𝒐𝒚𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚” (2 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒍𝒆𝒔 10:7 𝑮𝑵𝑻).

𝘐’𝘮 𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘯 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯; 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦, 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥, 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴. 𝘐 𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦, 𝘶𝘯𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘶𝘯𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨. As Christians, we must constantly train ourselves to see good in everyone, and to speak well of everyone, including those who misbehave around us. This kind of training enhances your spiritual maturity, and causes you to see and speak at God’s level of wisdom and kindness.

The instruction in the opening scripture is that we shouldn’t speak evil of anyone, no matter who they are, or what they’ve done. One Translation says it this way: “𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒎𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒔𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒂𝒏𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒂𝒗𝒐𝒊𝒅 𝒒𝒖𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈…” (𝑻𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒔 3:2 𝑵𝑳𝑻). To slander is to defame or speak ill of a person. Sadly, certain Christians do that a lot. But the Bible says, “…𝒔𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒔 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂 𝒇𝒐𝒐𝒍” (𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒃𝒔 10:18 𝑵𝑳𝑻). Meaning, only a fool slanders other people. The wise speaks well of others, both publicly and privately.

The Passion Translation renders the forgoing scripture this way: “…𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒔𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒃𝒆𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒉𝒆’𝒔 𝒂 𝒇𝒐𝒐𝒍, 𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒅” (𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒃𝒔 10:18 𝑻𝑷𝑻). Don’t slander people, and don’t walk with those who slander others; they are ‘impurities’ in your life; so, discard them. Don’t tear down their image or destroy their reputation with your mouth; instead, either speak well of them, or you keep quiet and say nothing. The opening scripture, rendered from a different Translation says, “𝑫𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒅𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒔. 𝑰𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒅, 𝒌𝒆𝒆𝒑 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒃𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆. Being a child of God, you’re a child of victory! Meaning, your life is a life of absolute victory; thus, you have the victory-power to handle and defeat any adversary or adversity that you face in this life, irrespective of its source, fierceness, or enormity. In Christ, you are undefeatable, indestructible, and indestructible to the enemy and to circumstances. Therefore, whenever you face challenges or adversities, bear in mind that you are a child of victory, and therefore your victory is sure. On a certain occasion, the Apostle was arrested and shipped to Rome, together with other prisoners. On-board the ship were two hundred and seventy six people. Suddenly, trouble broke out on the Sea as it began to rage with a boisterous storm. The captains and everyone on-board did all they could to save the ship, but all efforts yielded no results. This went on for about two weeks on the Sea; and as a result of such unsuccessful struggles for survival, they lost the desire to eat (𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝟐𝟕:𝟏-𝟑𝟐). But I love Apostle Paul’s response to the situation, and his charge to everyone on-board. He responded with a victory-consciousness, and a mind-set of indestructibility. The Bible says, “𝑱𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒃𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒅𝒂𝒚𝒃𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒌, 𝑷𝒂𝒖𝒍 𝒖𝒓𝒈𝒆𝒅 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒆𝒂𝒕. 𝑯𝒆 𝒔𝒂𝒊𝒅, “𝑻𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒔 𝒊𝒕 𝒕𝒘𝒐 𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒍 𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒌𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖’𝒗𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒊𝒏 𝒇𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒍 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒉𝒖𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓, 𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒆𝒂𝒕 𝒂 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈. Christianity is not a religion. It’s not one of the many religions in the world. Christianity is the impartation and revelation of Christ in and through a person. It is the outworking of God’s life and nature in a human person. Contrary to what some think, Christianity is not a way of worship, or a form of faith; no! True Christianity is actually the conscious, practical expression and demonstration of the God-kind of faith by the one who believes in Christ.

It’s important that you keep advancing in your spiritual journey of faith daily, by feeding your faith with God’s Word daily, and putting it to practical use always. For instance, if you face challenges, consciously use your faith to cause the changes that you desire in such adverse situations; for “𝑾𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒃𝒚 𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉, 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒃𝒚 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒘𝒆 𝒔𝒆𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒆𝒚𝒆𝒔” (2 𝑪𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔 5:7 𝑻𝑷𝑻).

Being Christians, we are to live by faith, and from faith to faith; not from faith to doubt or unbelief. God said, “𝑵𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒃𝒚 𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉; 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒊𝒇 𝒂𝒏𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒅𝒓𝒂𝒘𝒔 𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌, 𝑴𝒚 𝒔𝒐𝒖𝒍 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝒏𝒐 𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒉𝒊𝒎” (𝑯𝒆𝒃𝒓𝒆𝒘𝒔 10:38 𝑵𝑲𝑱𝑽). We who believe in Christ are children of the Gospel; and in the Gospel is “…𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒆𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒐 𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉; 𝒂𝒔 𝒊𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒘𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒏: “𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒃𝒚 𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉.”” (𝑹𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒔 1:17 𝑵𝑲𝑱𝑽). So, stand strong in Christ, and keep making positive and unending progress in your journey of faith daily.

Here, the Apostle Paul talks about the unsearchable riches that we have in Christ. He affirmed that the job given to him by God, as an apostle to the Gentiles, was to preach and reveal to them the unsearchable riches of Christ that is available to them and to everyone in Christ.

Being in Christ, His boundless riches are our inheritance; they all belong to us. I love to refer to them as ‘Our spiritual wealth in Christ.’ The term “Unsearchable riches” in the opening scripture simply means “𝘉𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴, 𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴, 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳-𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦, 𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘳 𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩.” These are more than money or physical wealth; they are actually spiritual treasures that can make one physically rich and wealthy, if one understands and embraces them, and put them to work. The Bible describes these wealth and riches in Christ as, “𝑮𝒐𝒅’𝒔 𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒈𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒚 𝒃𝒚 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕 𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒔” (𝑷𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔 4:19), and as “𝑺𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒂𝒍 𝒃𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒎𝒔” (𝑬𝒑𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔 1:3).

Indeed, we are rich and wealthy in Christ. As a Christian, you’re not the poor trying to be rich; no! Instead, you’re the rich discovering the wealth and riches that belong to you in Christ. The Bible says, “𝑭𝒐𝒓 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒂𝒍 𝒘𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉 𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒉𝒊𝒎, 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒉𝒊𝒅𝒅𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒄𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒅–𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒏’𝒔 𝒘𝒊𝒔𝒅𝒐𝒎 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘𝒍𝒆𝒅𝒈𝒆” (𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔 2:3 𝑻𝑷𝑻). Embrace this truth and walk in the consciousness of it daily; it will produce both spiritual and physical results in your life.

To trust is to have and demonstrate confidence, conviction, faith, or reliance in something or someone. So, to trust God’s grace is to have and demonstrate unreserved confidence, dependence, faith, and conviction in the grace of God daily. This is very vital; it will fill your life with miracles if you practice it.

At a certain time in his life, the Apostle Paul had a serious challenge. A demon spirit was sent to buffet him as ‘a thorn in his flesh,’ in order to keep him from being arrogant and proud due to the extraordinary level of revelation knowledge that he had. Thrice he prayed to God to take away the thorn in his flesh, but God’s response to him was: “My grace is sufficient for you.” Paul wrote: “…𝑰 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒅 𝒔𝒖𝒄𝒉 𝒘𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝑮𝒐𝒅. 𝑺𝒐 𝒕𝒐 𝒌𝒆𝒆𝒑 𝒎𝒆 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒅, 𝑰 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝒂 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒓𝒏 𝒊𝒏 𝒎𝒚 𝒇𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒉, 𝒂 𝒎𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝑺𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒎𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒌𝒆𝒆𝒑 𝒎𝒆 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒅. 𝑻𝒉𝒓𝒆𝒆 𝒅𝒊𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝑰 𝒃𝒆𝒈𝒈𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒊𝒕 𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒚. 𝑬𝒂𝒄𝒉 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒂𝒊𝒅, “𝑴𝒚 𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅. 𝑴𝒚 𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒘𝒆𝒂𝒌𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔”" (2 𝑪𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔 12:7-9 𝑵𝑳𝑻).

Now, when you face a challenge, trust God’s grace to put you over it victoriously. Say things like: “𝘎𝘰𝘥’𝘴 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘶𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘦. 𝘏𝘪𝘴 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘧𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘶𝘳, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘦 𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘯𝘰𝘸.” No matter your situation, if you’ll trust God’s grace and proclaim it consistently, your story and experiences will change positively and supernaturally. Grace can turn any situation around. For instance, the Bible says, “𝑮𝒐𝒅’𝒔 𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒆𝒏 𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒔 𝒂 𝒋𝒐𝒚𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝒉𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒏 𝒔𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒔 𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒂 𝒇𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒚. 𝑯𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎 𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒚 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒅 𝒃𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓 𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒋𝒐𝒚. 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕’𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝒘𝒆 𝒑𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒔𝒆, 𝒔𝒐 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒊𝒕 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒊𝒎!” (𝑷𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒎 113:9 𝑻𝑷𝑻). Certainly, grace can turn your situation around for good; trust it, and declare it daily over yourself.

As a Christian, you should manifest the love of Christ always, and promote unity and love both in the Church, in your family, and wherever you live and work. It’s ungodly to be one who causes or promotes disunity among others; it goes with grave consequences; therefore, desist from it. Instead of gossiping and sowing discord among friends and relative, practice and promote unity and love everywhere you go. The Bible says, “𝑵𝒐𝒘, 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒈𝒐𝒂𝒍: 𝒕𝒐 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒚 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒅𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒂𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆, 𝒔𝒚𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒚, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒕𝒐𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔. God hates the one who sows discord among brethren, whether in the Church, in family, or wherever. It’s written: “𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒆 𝒔𝒊𝒙 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝒉𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒔, 𝒚𝒆𝒔, 𝒔𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝑯𝒊𝒎: 𝒂 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒅 𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒌, 𝒂 𝒍𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒖𝒆, 𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒔𝒉𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒐𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒃𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒅, 𝒂 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒅𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝒘𝒊𝒄𝒌𝒆𝒅 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒔, 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒘𝒊𝒇𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒓𝒖𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒍, 𝒂 𝒇𝒂𝒍𝒔𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒌𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒔𝒐𝒘𝒔 𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝒂𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒆𝒏” (𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒃𝒔 6:16-19 𝑵𝑲𝑱𝑽).

The judgment that befalls those who cause troubles and division among people is quite terrible. You don’t want such judgment to befall you. This is what the Bible says about it: “𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔, 𝒘𝒊𝒄𝒌𝒆𝒅 𝒑𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝒈𝒐 𝒂𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒔. 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒈𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒅𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖, 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒆 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒍 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓 𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒔, 𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒓𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒖𝒑 𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆. Being a Christian, you ought to be absolutely committed to following hard after the Lord Jesus with wholehearted devotion. In following the Lord, you must be intentional about it, be completely focused on Him, and you must follow Him with an undivided heart. The best thing you can and should do for yourself is to follow Jesus Christ; and the way to do it is by following His Word and instructions daily.

Granted, if you follow the Lord with wholehearted devotion, your life will be drenched with His blessings, and you’ll never walk in the darkness of failure, lack, affliction, and defeat. The Lord Jesus declares: “…𝑰 𝒂𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅. 𝑯𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒇𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘𝒔 𝑴𝒆 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒍𝒌 𝒊𝒏 𝒅𝒂𝒓𝒌𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆” (𝑱𝒐𝒉𝒏 8:12 𝑵𝑲𝑱𝑽). Surely, if you follow Him in His Word and do His instructions and pleasures, you’ll never walk in darkness.

Following the Lord will cause you to always make forward-and-upward progress in all areas of your life, because He only leads forward and upward; He never leads backward. According to the Bible, people go backwards and retrogress in life when they don’t follow and do the Word and instructions of God Almighty. God Himself said, “𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝒕𝒐𝒍𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎: ‘𝑶𝒃𝒆𝒚 𝒎𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅…𝒅𝒐 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒔 𝑰 𝒔𝒂𝒚, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒍𝒍!’ “𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝒎𝒚 𝒑𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒆. Stubbornness and disobedience to God’s Word and instructions cause people to go backward, and not forward, in their lives. Therefore, be a doer of God’s Word (𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝟏:𝟐𝟐), and obey His voice and instructions always; that way, you’ll begin to make progress and advance forward. He says to us: “𝑻𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝒎𝒚 𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔; 𝒅𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒍𝒆𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎 𝒈𝒐. 𝑮𝒖𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎, 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒌𝒆𝒚 𝒕𝒐 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆” (𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒃𝒔 4:13 𝑵𝑳𝑻).

The scripture above refers to the free gift of grace from God to man, which is His gift of righteousness, which He imparts to anyone and everyone who believes and receives the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Righteousness is God’s free gift to us; we don’t and can’t earn it by good works; it can only be received by receiving Christ Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. The Bible says, “𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝒏𝒐 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏 𝑮𝒐𝒅’𝒔 𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒆𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔. 𝑰𝒕 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒃𝒆 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒘𝒆 𝒏𝒐 𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒚 𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒔, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒅𝒆𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒖𝒏𝒈𝒐𝒅𝒍𝒚 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒆𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒆𝒚𝒆𝒔. 𝑰𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝑮𝒐𝒅’𝒔 𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒆𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒂𝒄𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒕” (𝑹𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒔 4:5 𝑻𝑷𝑻).

Now, just like righteousness, all other virtues and graces from God are free, including such graces that are received by the laying on of hands. Therefore, it’s spiritually wrong to sell or pay for whatever God gives freely to the Body of Christ–His Church. Of course, I’m aware that occasionally God can instruct us to use certain items for prophetic or spiritual purposes, for healing, blessing, empowerment, and for impartation; but, He doesn’t want us using them permanently as part of our daily life. Instead, He wants us to grow spiritually in the knowledge of His Word, and learn how to properly use our faith to accomplish anything.

What many don’t know is that using such so-called ‘spiritual’ items as their way of life could actually attract demons and strange battles into their lives, because such things have a way of programming one’s mind and spirit into having more faith in them, than in the Word of God. Sadly, that’s what has happened in in many churches and to many Christians; they have more faith in such mediums and items from a Church, a Prophet, or a Pastor, than they have in God’s Word. But the Bible tells us that “𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒃𝒆 𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒉𝒆𝒅 𝒐𝒏 𝒎𝒂𝒏’𝒔 𝒘𝒊𝒔𝒅𝒐𝒎 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒃𝒚 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒍𝒎𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒚 𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓” (1 𝑪𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔 2:5 𝑻𝑷𝑻).

The Bible says, “𝑭𝒐𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒅𝒂𝒓𝒌𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒅. 𝑾𝒂𝒍𝒌 𝒂𝒔 𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕” (𝑬𝒑𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔 5:8 𝑵𝑲𝑱𝑽). Meaning, now that you are in Christ, you’re ‘light’ in Him. You’re not just a possessor and carrier of divine light; but you’re light, because you’re a child of Light; for “𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝒊𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕” (1 𝑱𝒐𝒉𝒏 1:5). Thus, the Lord declares, “𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅…” (𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒘 5:14 𝑵𝑲𝑱𝑽).

Now, shine as the light that you are, by bearing the ‘fruits of light.’ According to the opening scripture, the supernatural fruits of light are: goodness, righteousness, and truth. Anything that’s inconsistent with these three factors is a fruit of darkness, and such things shouldn’t be part of your life. For instance, things like wickedness, lying, stealing, anger, unforgiveness, revenge, stinginess, selfishness, and fighting, shouldn’t be a part of your life; because such negative things are inconsistent with God’s goodness, righteousness, and truth.

‘𝑮𝒐𝒐𝒅𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔’ is the quality of being morally virtuous, excellent, kind, generous, and full of integrity. ‘𝑹𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒆𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔’ is God’s nature of rightness in us, which makes us right before God, and enables us to do right always. And “𝑻𝒓𝒖𝒕𝒉” is divine realities that are superior to science and the senses. Putting all three definitions together, your life should be one that reflects and expresses the grace, glory, and love of God to other people always. Bear the fruits of light, as you “𝑳𝒆𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒔𝒐 𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒎𝒆𝒏, 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒎𝒂𝒚 𝒔𝒆𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒈𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒈𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒇𝒚 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑭𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒊𝒏 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒏” (𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒘 5:16 𝑵𝑲𝑱𝑽).
