"…𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒎 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉. 𝑩𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒐𝒖𝒔. 𝑩𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒈."

This is such a profound spiritual admonition and instruction to us from the Word of God. We must all stand firm in the faith; otherwise, we will be swayed into worldliness, carnality, backsliding, spiritual lukewarmness, and unbelief. Sadly, there are those who departed from the faith (From Christ) because they didn’t stand firm in the faith.

To stand firm in the faith is stand firm in the Word of God. It means to steadfastly live by the Word of God that you’ve believed; and to be deeply rooted, and established, and built up in Christ. The Bible says, “𝑵𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒍𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒏𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑶𝒏𝒆, 𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒅, 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒔, 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒖𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒋𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒚 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑯𝒊𝒎 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘 𝑯𝒊𝒎 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒔. 𝑳𝒆𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒓𝒐𝒐𝒕𝒔 𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒘 𝒅𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝒅𝒆𝒆𝒑𝒍𝒚 𝒊𝒏 𝑯𝒊𝒎, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒍𝒆𝒕 𝑯𝒊𝒎 𝒃𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒖𝒑 𝒐𝒏 𝒂 𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒎 𝒇𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏. 𝑩𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉, 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒂𝒔 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒂𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔” (𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔 2:6-7 𝑻𝑽𝑩).

One reason you must be firmly established in the faith is because the hostile world around us, and the forces of darkness, are doing everything possible to distract, discourage and destroy you and your confidence in Christ. Plus, the Bible says, “𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒎𝒂𝒚 𝒂𝒔 𝒘𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒐𝒐…𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒅𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒊𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒈𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒅𝒊𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒖𝒍𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 𝒂 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒂𝒏” (2 𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒚 3:1 𝑻𝑳𝑩). Such are the days in which we live; therefore, stand firm in the faith, so you can abide faithful and strong in Christ till the end.

"𝑩𝒆 𝒐𝒏 𝒈𝒖𝒂𝒓𝒅. 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒎 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉.
𝑩𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒐𝒖𝒔. 𝑩𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒈."

As Christians, we have a common enemy–the devil. He has demons working with him, who outnumber all the human beings in this world. He and his demons are very ferocious and dangerous; they don’t play fair, and they are destructive in nature and in character. They have one ultimate goal in mind–to blind the hearts of people from the light of Christ, and to destroy through affliction, oppression, and sufferings. For “𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒆𝒇’𝒔 𝒑𝒖𝒓𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒍 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒌𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒅𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒚…” (𝑱𝒐𝒉𝒏 10:10 𝑵𝑳𝑻). Satan is the thief.

Granted, the devil and his demons, with his human agents of wickedness, hate and always seek to afflict and destroy God’s children, including you and me; because we are light, and they are darkness. That’s one reason you must always be on guard, and stay alert, so you don’t fall into their traps of wickedness. The Bible instructs us to “𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒚 𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒓𝒕! 𝑾𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕 𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒎𝒚, 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒍. 𝑯𝒆 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒍𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒂 𝒓𝒐𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒍𝒊𝒐𝒏, 𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒅𝒆𝒗𝒐𝒖𝒓” (1 𝑷𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒓 5:8 𝑵𝑳𝑻). If you are always on guard, you’ll be able to anticipate evils ever before they manifest, and you’ll always receive divine guidance to avoid, escape, or overcome the traps, works and onslaughts of the enemy.

God’s Word further instructs us thus: “𝑲𝒆𝒆𝒑 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒆𝒚𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒏 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒂𝒍 𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓𝒔…” (1 𝑪𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔 16:13 𝑻𝑳𝑩). This is talking about keeping your spiritual eyes open, and training your spirit to be very sensitive to God always. Three major ways to do that are: first, by consciously and regularly meditating on God’s Word. Secondly, by intermittent fasting and praying. And thirdly, by speaking in tongues every so often. These three spiritual exercises will keep you spiritually fit and alert always.

The word ‘𝘶𝘯𝘳𝘶𝘭𝘺’ in the scripture above is from the Greek ‘𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘵𝘰𝘴.’ It speaks of one who is “𝘋𝘪𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘭𝘺, 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘶𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘦, 𝘰𝘳 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘬 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘳, 𝘰𝘳 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰’𝘴 𝘥𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘳 𝘳𝘶𝘭𝘦.” In ancient Greek, the word ‘ataktos’ was actually used for military troops that are not in battle formation; those who are out of line doing their own minds, as against the instructions from their commanding officers. Also, it was used for “Those who are idle or lazy.

Christians who don’t take instructions in the house of God are described as unruly. Those who want to do what’s on their minds, and never what they are told to do are unruly. For instance, there are those who go in a direction different from the direction that the Church, or the department or service units that they belong in chooses to go. They openly or quietly oppose their leaders, and chart a different course in insubordination. Some even have cliques and factions with whom they do such rebellious acts in Church. The Bible calls them unruly. They are completely out of order and discipline. Refuse to be that way, because such people don’t end well; their light never shines, and they are never fulfilled.

The Bible instructs us to “𝑴𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒊𝒏 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔” (1 𝑪𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔 14:40 𝑻𝑽𝑩). Don’t ‘break ranks’ in the house of God. Respect your leaders and Pastors, and do what they tell you to do in line with God’s Word. If you have a dissenting opinion or a complaint against a group or a leader in Church, channel your opinions or complaints in an order manner through and to the appropriate authority. The Bible teaches us to know how to behave in the house of God, for it’s the ground and pillar of Truth (𝟏 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝟑:𝟏𝟓 𝐆𝐍𝐓).

The Lord Jesus will definitely come again; and His return will be sudden, and sooner than many Christians realize. The Bible says, “…𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒖𝒏𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒆𝒅𝒍𝒚, 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒂 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒆𝒇 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒏𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕. 𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒑𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒂𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈, “𝑨𝒍𝒍 𝒊𝒔 𝒘𝒆𝒍𝒍; 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒔 𝒒𝒖𝒊𝒆𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒇𝒖𝒍”–𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒏, 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒐𝒇 𝒂 𝒔𝒖𝒅𝒅𝒆𝒏, 𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒇𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒖𝒑𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎 𝒂𝒔 𝒔𝒖𝒅𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒂𝒔 𝒂 𝒘𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒏’𝒔 𝒃𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒉 𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒏 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒅 𝒊𝒔 𝒃𝒐𝒓𝒏…” (1 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔 5:2-3 𝑻𝑳𝑩).

The whole world will be taken by surprise at the rapture (catching way) of the saints of God, and at the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, according to the foregoing scripture and several other portions of the Bible. But for us in Christ, that great Day shouldn’t come upon us suddenly, especially if you have been watching it and preparing for the rapture. If you aren’t preparing for the coming of Christ, you might suffer loss. Daily be on your guard, working for the Lord, and be seriously preparing and watching for His return. As part of your preparation, engage daily in soul winning and the advancement of His kingdom.

Put away all distractions from your life, and be clearheaded; and daily watch for the Lord’s return; He’s surely coming again, and it’s very soon!

Granted, when you received Jesus Christ as your Lord, you were regenerated by the Holy Spirit. That means, the Holy Spirit imparted to you a new and higher life and nature, which supplanted the old, fallen ‘adamic’ life and nature that you had before your new birth. That new life and nature imparted to you by the Holy Spirit are the supernatural life and divine nature of God, which I like to refer to as ‘the God-life and God-nature.’ They’ve been imparted to your spirit; thus, making you a brand new person in Christ. For “𝑰𝒇 𝒂𝒏𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒏𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑶𝒏𝒆 [𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒔 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕], 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝒊𝒔 𝒂 𝒏𝒆𝒘 𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏. 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒍𝒅 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒈𝒐𝒏𝒆–𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒆𝒆–𝒂 𝒏𝒆𝒘 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒈𝒖𝒏!” (2 𝑪𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔 5:17 𝑻𝑽𝑩).

Being in Christ, you’re now a new creature with a brand new life and nature, which are completely different from the life and nature you received from your earthly parents. That old life and nature with all their associated habits and character have passed away, and have been replaced with the new and higher life and nature of Divinity. Glory to God! The Bible says, “𝑭𝒐𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒂 𝒏𝒆𝒘 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆. 𝑰𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔, 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒈𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒇𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒚. Be conscious of your new life and nature. Daily maintain the spiritual awareness of who you are and what you have in Christ. You’re a partaker of His divine nature (𝟐 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟏:𝟒). Be conscious of that always. Be conscious of the truth that for you the old life has passed away, and all things about you in Christ are now new. Yes, it’s all new! Daily live as the new man that you are in Christ.

At the new birth, you were born into God. This is a profound truth that staggers religious minds. For instance, there is a ‘religious’ song that was sung a long time in the churches of Jesus Christ with the lyrics: “𝘋𝘳𝘢𝘸 𝘮𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘳, 𝘯𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥, 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘛𝘩𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘥; 𝘋𝘳𝘢𝘸 𝘮𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘳, 𝘯𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥, 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦.” That’s not a ‘Christian song’ because it negates the revelation truth of God’s Word, though ignorantly, it was sung by Christians globally for many years. That song negates the Truth in the scripture above.

Come to think of it, being born again, you are now IN Christ (𝟐 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟓:𝟏𝟕), and He too is IN you by His Spirit (𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟏:𝟐𝟕, 𝟏 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟑:𝟐𝟒); so, you are comingled with Him as one Divine Being: “𝑯𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒊𝒔 𝒋𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝒊𝒔 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑯𝒊𝒎” (1 𝑪𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔 6:17 𝑵𝑲𝑱𝑽). Thus, it’s wrong and unscriptural to pray or sing that God should draw you near to Himself.

We’ve been brought as near as can be to God, by the royal blood of Jesus Christ. To buttress this truth, let consider the opening scripture again from two other Bible Translations. The first says, “𝒀𝒆𝒕 𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝒂𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒏𝒐𝒘! 𝑬𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒆𝒘! 𝑨𝒍𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒇𝒂𝒓 𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒚 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝑮𝒐𝒅, 𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒃𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒅𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒄𝒍𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒊𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒂𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒃𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒔–𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒃𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕!” (𝑬𝒑𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔 2:13 𝑻𝑷𝑻). And the second beautifully renders it this way: “𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝒏𝒐𝒘, 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒏𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑯𝒊𝒔 𝒔𝒂𝒄𝒓𝒊𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒆, 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒅. In Christ, we are heirs of blessings! An heir is “𝘈𝘯 𝘪𝘯𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘰𝘳, 𝘢 𝘣𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘳𝘺, 𝘢 𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘢𝘭 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘰𝘳, 𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘦, 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘪𝘮.” That’s who we are in Christ: inheritors of blessings; legal possessors of God’s goodness and grace. We are heirs of His unprecedented favours, and possessors of the boundless riches of Christ (𝐄𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟑:𝟖).

Heaven and earth, and the fullness of all they contain, belong to God: “𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒉 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒅’𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒊𝒕𝒔 𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒍𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔, 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒅𝒘𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒊𝒏” (𝑷𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒎 24:1; 1 𝑪𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔 10:26-28). Also, the Bible says, “𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒏, 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒔, 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒅’𝒔…” (𝑷𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒎 115:16 𝑵𝑲𝑱𝑽). They all belong to God. He said, “𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒊𝒍𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒊𝒔 𝑴𝒊𝒏𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒈𝒐𝒍𝒅 𝒊𝒔 𝑴𝒊𝒏𝒆, 𝒔𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒕” (𝑯𝒂𝒈𝒈𝒂𝒊 2:8). Granted, the Lord has all that plus more, and He’s made us heirs of all He has. Now, we are God’s heirs and joint-heirs with His Son, Jesus Christ (𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟖:𝟏𝟔-𝟏𝟕); therefore, all that belongs to Him now belongs to us, for we are heirs of His wealth. His Word says, “…𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔…” (1 𝑪𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔 3:21-23). Yes, they are all ours in Christ. We lack nothing!

The blessing of Abraham belongs to us in Christ, for we are heirs of the Blessing. “𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕, 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝑨𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒉𝒂𝒎. You are an heir of blessings; always be conscious of this reality. Always declare it and walk in the light of it; for you are the blessed of God in Christ. Being in Christ, God has honoured you; therefore, there’s no shame whatsoever in your life. The glory and honour of God are on your life daily; consciously recognize them. Your life is the revelation and expression of God’s perfections and grace; therefore, your life cannot be inglorious, or infected with shame or disappointment.

You’re a child of Glory; so, whatever happens in your life, good or bad, will certainly promote God’s glory in your life. It will never lead to shame, but to increase and victory. And that’s because, “…𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 [𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒅𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒈𝒏𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒅 𝒃𝒚 𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝒕𝒐] 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝒕𝒐𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒇𝒐𝒓 [𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓] 𝒈𝒐𝒐𝒅 [𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖] 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝑮𝒐𝒅, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒄𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝑯𝒊𝒔 𝒑𝒖𝒓𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒆” (𝑹𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒔 8:28 𝑵𝑲𝑱𝑽, 𝑬𝒎𝒑𝒉𝒂𝒔𝒊𝒛𝒆𝒅). Nothing in this world can put you in a place of disadvantage or shame; instead, they’ll work together for your prosperity and greatness.

Shame is disappointment, dishonour, disgrace, indignity, and humiliation. It consists of ingloriousness, embarrassment, and anything that is inconsistent with God’s glorious plan for you. In Christ, there is no shame for you; your life is now for God’s glory (𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐚𝐡 𝟒𝟑:𝟕). Only those who forsake the Lord will end in shame (𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐚𝐡 𝟏𝟕:𝟏𝟑). No matter what anyone does or says against you to shame or dishonour you, remain unperturbed because they really can’t shame you with the honour of God on your life. We who believe in the Rock of Zion, the Lord Jesus, will never be put to shame (𝟏 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟐:𝟔).

In Christ, we have the victory over any challenge because victory is our birth-right in Him. That’s why you should never panic, fear, or be confused if you ever encounter challenges because no matter what you face in this life, the victory over it has already been won for you by the Lord Jesus Christ (𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟏𝟔:𝟑𝟑).

Now, with that understanding if you encounter a challenge, face it boldly and win. That’s what God expects of you because He’s made you an overcomer in Christ. “𝑭𝒐𝒓 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒊𝒔 𝒃𝒐𝒓𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅. 𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅–𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉” (1 𝑱𝒐𝒉𝒏 5:4 𝑵𝑲𝑱𝑽). Yes, face the challenge and win. Refuse to be a coward or weakling who runs around for help from other people over the challenges that they can overcome by simply applying God’s Word personally. Sadly, that’s what some Christians do. Instead of facing their challenges and enforcing the victory over them by the Word, they run from ‘pillar to post,’ as it were, seeking for prayers and solution; meanwhile, in them is the power of God to bring forth the solutions they seek.

Think about this: a lion attacked Samson unexpectedly; he faced it fearlessly and defeated it on the spot without crying for help (𝐉𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝟏𝟒:𝟓-𝟔). The lion wouldn’t have waited for him to first run to his prophet for prayer, if Samson had tried to do so. It was a sudden attack that required an instant, aggressive response of faith; and Samson won the victory by responding instantly by faith (𝐇𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝟏𝟏:𝟑𝟐-𝟑𝟑). Train yourself to be that way; such that if you are attacked by the ‘lions’ of affliction, lack, losses, failure, pains, disappointments, and so on, you will respond by faith and always win, and not run around for help. “𝑭𝒐𝒓…𝒘𝒆 𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉” (1 𝑱𝒐𝒉𝒏 5:4 𝑵𝑳𝑻).

The Word of God is God’s person, presence, and power expressed in words; therefore, the Word carries in itself God’s ability to heal all diseases, and make the infirm completely whole. The above scripture attests to that truth, that God heals and delivers and makes whole by His Word. One Translations says it this way: “𝑯𝒆 𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎, 𝒔𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒐𝒐𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝒅𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒉” (𝑷𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒎 107:20 𝑵𝑳𝑻).

During His earthly ministry, the Lord Jesus healed the sick and afflicted mainly with His spoken Word, which have become part of the written Word in the Bible. On one occasion, the Bible says, “𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝒅𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒏-𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒑𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒃𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒔; 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒌𝒆 𝒂 𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒍𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒅, 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒇𝒍𝒆𝒅; 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒊𝒄𝒌 𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒅” (𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒘 8:16 𝑻𝑳𝑩). Observe that in that scripture the Lord Jesus healed the sick and cast out devils with His Word. His written Word is very much as potent today as His spoken Words back then, so you can speak it and be sure it will produce results: “𝑭𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒖𝒍. 𝑰𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒑𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒚 𝒕𝒘𝒐-𝒆𝒅𝒈𝒆𝒅 𝒔𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒅…” (𝑯𝒆𝒃𝒓𝒆𝒘𝒔 4:12 𝑵𝑳𝑻).

In 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟓, the Lord Jesus encountered a paralyzed man by the pool of Bethesda, and spoke words of healing to him, and he was made whole by the spoke Word of the Lord. “𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒔 𝒔𝒂𝒊𝒅 𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒊𝒎, “𝑹𝒊𝒔𝒆, 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒖𝒑 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒃𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒂𝒍𝒌.” 𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒊𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒏 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒎𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒍𝒍, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝒖𝒑 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒅, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒂𝒍𝒌𝒆𝒅” (𝑱𝒐𝒉𝒏 5:8-9 𝑵𝑲𝑱𝑽). Whatever is your situation, get into the scriptures and get the Word of the Lord for yourself about the situation, and start to declare it by faith; before long, that Word will alter your situation, and make you whole.

An ‘Overcomer’ is “𝘖𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘪𝘵.” He is one who has prevailed, conquered, subdued, or is victorious over devils, difficulties, afflictions, circumstances, and whatever else poses a challenge. In Christ you are an overcomer, a victor, and a super-conqueror (𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟖:𝟑𝟕); you have the control and superiority over all devils, adversity, and over any and every challenge in this world (𝐋𝐮𝐤𝐞 𝟏𝟎:𝟏𝟗).

As a Christian, you were born an overcomer in Christ. “𝑭𝒐𝒓 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒊𝒔 𝒃𝒐𝒓𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅. 𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅–𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉” (1 𝑱𝒐𝒉𝒏 5:4 𝑵𝑲𝑱𝑽). The Apostle John goes further to say, “𝑾𝒉𝒐 𝒊𝒔 𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝑮𝒐𝒅?” (1 𝑱𝒐𝒉𝒏 5:5 𝑵𝑲𝑱𝑽). Meaning, anyone and everyone who is born again, anyone and everyone in Christ Jesus, has overcome the world with all the powers and adversities in it. This is your reality; it should inform your mentality.

You are a world conqueror. One Translation says it this way: “𝑺𝒐 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒓𝒐𝒓𝒔, 𝒅𝒆𝒇𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒕𝒔 𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓? 𝑻𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝑮𝒐𝒅” (1 𝑱𝒐𝒉𝒏 5:5 𝑻𝑷𝑻). Be conscious of it that you are a world conqueror, an overcomer, and a victor in Christ. We are God’s triumphant breed in the earth today. For “𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑮𝒐𝒅, 𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒏, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎, 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝑯𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒊𝒔 𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅” (1 𝑱𝒐𝒉𝒏 4:4 𝑵𝑲𝑱𝑽).

𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘢𝘯 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘯 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵 𝘑𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘴. 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘢 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦 𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘦𝘳-𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘳𝘰𝘳. 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘧𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦. 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝘢𝘥𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘧𝘧𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴; 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘴 𝘏𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘦, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥. 𝘈𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘭𝘶𝘪𝘢!

"𝑺𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒂𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒑𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕 𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒔 𝒂𝒔 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒅, 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒉𝒊𝒎."

It is one thing to be 𝒃𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒐 union with Christ, but it’s a different thing to 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒊𝒏 union with Christ. The former is instantaneous, and it happened at the new birth; but the latter is a daily, continuous thing. In other words, we were brought into union with Christ at the new birth–the very moment we got born again; but we live in union with Him by consciously fellowshipping with Him and following Him in His Word daily. This is very important.

The instruction in the opening scripture is: “Since you have accepted Christ Jesus as Lord, live in union with him.” One Translation puts it this way: “𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒏𝒐𝒘, 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒂𝒔 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒂𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒑𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕 𝒂𝒔 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒅, 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒎𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒖𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒇𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘 𝒉𝒊𝒎. Practice living in union with the Lord by doing His Word and pleasures, and by maintaining consistently fellowship with Him through prayer.

Let the Word of God be what regulates your life always. Live by it, and live in it out daily, by practicing it. Discipline yourself to pray often, and to study and meditate on God’s Word, each and every day. Don’t just live through the day fixated on social media, or on your job, while you ignore your fellowship with God; instead, devote adequate to it, and ensure you do it daily. That way, your life will blossom in every way, and you’ll be built up and made strong spiritually.
