Here are what no one tells you about knowing what you want

Clarity is beautiful… but it’s not always easy.

We love the idea of clarity, knowing exactly who we are, what we want, and where we’re going.

But what no one tells you is this: clarity comes with a cost.

And not everyone is ready to pay it.

Clarity Can Be Lonely

When you gain clarity, you start making decisions that others won’t understand.
You begin to:

Pull back from distractions.

Walk away from good things that aren’t aligned.

Say no more than you say yes.

Clarity strips away noise.

And sometimes, that noise included people, habits, and comfort zones you thought you couldn’t live without.

Clarity forces you to see the truth

It exposes your excuses.
It demands action.

Because once you know better, you can’t unknow it.

Clarity challenges your patterns.
It’s not enough to dream, now you have to move.

Clarity Requires Courage

Sometimes the cost of clarity is:

Ending relationships that no longer serve your growth.

Saying goodbye to a version of yourself that people loved.

Starting over when you thought you had it all figured out.

Clarity may make your path clear… but it won’t always make it easy.

But Clarity Is Worth It

Because on the other side of the discomfort is:

Direction

Peace

Momentum

Purpose

You’ll stop chasing everything… and finally start becoming something.

Clarity will cost you your confusion, your distractions, and sometimes, your comfort.
But it will give you, you !.

Are you ready to pay the price?

CHAPTER TWELVE: Results and Revelations

Three days later, the results came in.

99.98% positive.
Chuka was Adanna’s biological father.

Evelyn clutched the papers, her hands cold.

How could he?

She called Chuka.

“Meet me. Now. No excuses.”

They met at a small garden behind the estate.

She dropped the file in front of him.

He looked through it, expressionless.

“So?” he muttered.

So?! she exploded. You lied to me, you fathered a child before we got married. Then you pretended to be infertile to escape responsibility!

His face hardened. “I didn’t know, her mother left without a word.”

“And the test results you hid?” she fired back. “What about those?!”

He was silent.

Evelyn stepped closer. “You broke me. Not because you were broken, but because you were a coward.”

Before he could speak, she walked away.

He yelled after her, “So what now? You want to take the girl in and pretend to be her mother?”

Evelyn turned, her voice low but firm.

“No, Chuka. I want to raise her to be nothing like you.”

𝘾𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙊𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝘿𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙖

Discipline is a quiet power, yet, it's a great source of greater achievements.

In a noisy world where drama gets the clicks and chaos gets the spotlight, choosing discipline may feel… boring.

But here’s the truth: discipline builds what drama only dreams about.

Drama is loud.

Discipline is consistent.

Drama craves attention.

Discipline creates results.

Drama fades.

Discipline compounds.

● What Does Discipline Really Mean?

Discipline isn’t punishment.
It’s devotion.

It’s waking up and showing up, even when no one’s clapping.

It’s saying:

No to distractions.

Yes to growth.

Later to pleasure.

Now to purpose.

● Why Drama Is a Trap

Drama thrives on emotions without action.
It’s reactive, exhausting, and addictive.

You’ll always have a story, but what you really need is a strategy.

When you choose drama, you choose cycles.

When you choose discipline, you choose elevation.

● Discipline Is the Real Flex

Discipline is:

Writing when you don’t feel inspired.

Saving when it’s easier to spend.

Healing when you’d rather lash out.

Building when quitting feels safer.

You don’t need more hype. You need more habits.

Because the future isn’t built on emotions it’s built on ex*****on.

Let the world chase chaos. You? Choose calm.

Choose commitment. Choose discipline.

Drop a ❤️ if you’re done with distractions and ready to build something solid.

HER WOMB, THEIR WAR

By Glory K. Onosedeba

CHAPTER ELEVEN: Blood Doesn’t Lie

Evelyn sat opposite the girl, her heart pounding.
Adanna clutched a worn-out envelope, inside were photos of her late mother with a much younger Chuka.

"I don't want money," Adanna said. "I just want to know who I am. Who he is."

Evelyn studied her features. The eyes, the nose. The way she crossed her arms when nervous, just like Chuka.

Still, she needed proof.

"We’ll do a DNA test," Evelyn said gently. "Then you’ll have your answers."

Adanna nodded.

That night, Evelyn sat on her bed, staring into the dark.

If Adanna was truly Chuka’s daughter…
Then everything was a lie.

He could father a child,
He knew he wasn’t infertile.
And for years, he watched Evelyn suffer… on purpose.

Busy Isn’t Productive, focus on Intentional action, not frantic activity

We live in a world that glorifies hustle.
Everyone’s busy.

But here’s the uncomfortable truth: busy doesn’t always mean productive.

You can fill your day with endless tasks, reply to every message, attend every meeting, and still end the day feeling… empty. Why?

Because movement without meaning is just noise.

The Difference Between Busy and Productive

Busy is checking things off a list.

Productive is checking off the right things.

Busy is reacting to everything.

Productive is responding with purpose.

Being intentional means choosing quality over quantity.

It means asking, “Does this action move me closer to my vision?” before jumping in.

How to Shift from Frantic to Focused:

1. Start with Purpose:
Every day, ask:

What truly matters today?
Focus on 3 key priorities that align with your long-term goals.

2. Say No More Often:
Just because you can do it doesn’t mean you should. Protect your energy.

3. Take Breaks to Think:
True productivity often happens in silence. Reflection creates clarity.

4. Track Energy, Not Just Time:
What drains you?

What fuels you? Productivity isn't just about hours, it's about how you feel doing the work.

Busy Feels Impressive, productive feels Aligned.

Don’t let busyness become a badge of honor.

Let clarity, peace, and meaningful progress be your new markers of success.

Stop glorifying the grind, step into purposeful progress.

Ask yourself today: Am I just busy… or am I truly building something?

CHAPTER TEN: The Daughter

Evelyn stared at Nurse Grace.

“What did you just say?”

She said her name is Adanna. She’s 16. Her mother died two months ago from cancer.

On her deathbed, she told the girl to look for Chuka Okafor.

Evelyn’s mind raced.

That’s impossible, if Chuka is infertile, how can

“She said they dated in university. The woman was already pregnant before Chuka traveled abroad for NYSC. He never returned.”

A thousand thoughts exploded in Evelyn’s head.

Was it possible?
Could Chuka have fathered a child before his fertility declined?

Then it hit her.
If the girl was real… she might be the answer.

Where is she? Evelyn asked.

Grace smiled. She’s outside, she insisted on meeting you.

Evelyn walked slowly to the waiting room.

And there, standing with eyes full of innocence and pain, was a girl who looked exactly like Chuka.

“Are you… are you his wife?” she asked.

Evelyn swallowed hard. “Yes. I am.”

Adanna nodded, tears gathering.

“Then I guess you’re… also my stepmother.”

ᴠɪꜱɪᴏɴ ʙᴏᴀʀᴅ ꜰᴏʀ ᴡʀɪᴛᴇʀꜱ

Who are you writing for, and why do they need Reader it?

HERE ARE SOME FEW TIPS:

1. Clarify Your Reader

Ask yourself:

Who am I writing for?

What stage of life are they in?

What are they struggling with?

What are they hoping to feel, heal, or understand through my words?

Visual Prompts to Add:

A silhouette or collage of your ideal reader (young woman, single dad, teen girl, tired mom, dreamer, etc.)

Words that describe them:

• Healing,

• Searching,

• Strong but tired,

• Creative,

• Overcomer

2. Why Do They Need Your Voice?

Your audience doesn’t need perfect words.
They need your truth, your story, and your courage to speak up.

Ask yourself:

What pain does my writing help soothe?

What hope do I offer through my voice?

What truths am I brave enough to say that others aren't?

Visual Prompts to Add:

Words like:
Relatable,
Real,
Raw,
Redemptive

An open heart or broken chain symbol

DMs, comments, or testimonials from readers saying “This helped me”

3. Your “Why” as a Writer

This is your soul fuel, the thing that keeps you writing when likes are low and self-doubt is high.

Add sticky notes or quote cards with lines like:

“I write so others know they’re not alone.”

“I tell the stories I needed when I was hurting.”

“Because healing hides in honesty.”

4. Your Promise to Your Readers

This is the heart of your brand as a writer.

Try writing:

“I promise to write with integrity.”

“I won’t sugarcoat the truth, I’ll deliver it gently, but honestly.”

“I will show up, even when I’m afraid.”

Use elegant fonts, handwritten notes, or cut-outs to display this.

5. Design Ideas

You can create this board:

Digitally:

• Canva,
• Pinterest,
• Notion.

Physically:

• magazines,
• sticky notes,
• markers

Hybrid:

• print your digital version and paste extra words on it

• Place it somewhere sacred, near your writing space, journal, or even your phone lock screen.

Final Words:

Your audience is waiting.
- Not for a bestseller.
- Not for perfection.
- They're waiting for you.
- For your messy, honest, life-giving words.

Start your vision board today.

Let every image remind you who you’re writing for and why they need the healing only your voice can offer.

CHAPTER NINE: The Message

On a quiet Tuesday afternoon, her phone beeped.
A message from an unknown number.

“Mrs. Evelyn… I’m sorry for everything. But I need to show you something.

Please meet me at CityCare Hospital. - Nurse Grace”

She almost ignored it.

But something about the name “Nurse Grace” stirred a memory.

Back when she and Chuka had visited a private clinic, Grace had been the only kind face in the entire building.

Evelyn took a cab to the hospital.

Nurse Grace welcomed her like a long-lost sister. “I’ve kept this for years.

I wasn’t allowed to say anything… but I can’t carry it anymore.”

She handed Evelyn an old brown envelope.

Inside were two test result slips, Chuka’s, and another labeled "Chuka Okafor (Re-Test)" from a different lab.

Both showed infertility. Low motility. Zero chance.

Evelyn’s hand trembled. “Why was this hidden?”

Grace sighed. “Your husband came alone later and begged us to keep it secret. He said it would break his mother.”

Tears streamed down Evelyn’s face. “So he let me suffer… just to protect their pride.”

Grace nodded.

But just before Evelyn could stand to leave, Grace added:

“There’s more. A girl came in recently. She claims to be your husband’s daughter.”

HOW TO CREATE WITH PURPOSE:

If it Doesn’t Align with Your Values, Don’t Put Your Name on It

In today’s fast-paced digital world, it's easy to get caught up in trends, likes, and temporary applause.

But as a creator, your work is more than just content, it’s a reflection of who you are and what you stand for.

That’s why it's crucial to create with purpose.

Every piece you put out, whether it’s a caption, design, reel, story, blog, or brand partnership, speaks volumes.

It tells people what matters to you.

So, the question is: Does your work reflect your values or just your need for validation?

Here’s the truth: if it doesn’t align with your core beliefs, your vision, and your long-term mission, it’s not worth stamping your name on.

Short-term attention fades, but integrity has lasting impact.

Let your content tell a deeper story, one that honors your growth, principles, and truth.

Creating with purpose doesn't mean being perfect. It means being intentional.

It’s choosing alignment over applause, depth over performance, and authenticity over aesthetics.

Whether you're writing, designing, building a brand, or telling your story, remember: you’re building a legacy, not just a feed.

Let your next post speak your truth. Create with purpose, your name deserves to be on something you believe in.

CHAPTER EIGHT: The Empty Room, Again

A week passed, then two.

The house felt lighter without Mama and Chuka.

But Evelyn felt something else, restlessness.

She kept waking up from the same dream:
She’s standing in a hospital, holding a crying baby. But when she looks down, there’s nothing in her arms.

She tried to distract herself, volunteered at church, joined a women’s fellowship, even started journaling again.

But one Sunday, a guest pastor from Enugu pointed directly at her during altar call.

“You’ve been mocked,” he said. “They laughed at your womb. But I see twins… I see healing… I see divine vindication.”

The congregation erupted.
But Evelyn?
She fell to her knees, weeping.

Not from hope.
From exhaustion.

She didn’t know whether to believe anymore.

STAY CONSISTENT

Even When the Results Aren’t Immediate

In 1 Kings 18, Elijah prayed for rain after a long drought.

He sent his servant to check the sky, not once, not twice, but seven times.

Each time, the servant returned with the same report:

“There is nothing.”

But Elijah didn’t quit.

He kept praying.

He kept believing.

He stayed consistent.

And on the seventh time, the servant saw a small cloud, like a man’s hand rising from the sea.

That tiny cloud became a mighty downpour.

Sometimes, your efforts feel invisible.

Your prayers seem unanswered.

Your work goes unnoticed.

But that doesn’t mean nothing is happening.

Heaven sees.

God hears.

And the rain is coming.

Stay consistent:

Even when there’s “nothing” yet.

Even when the sky looks empty.

Because faith doesn’t wait to see before it believes.

Galatians 6:9 (NLT) says:

"So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up."

𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐤

Write when the world is asleep.

When the silence is so loud it almost echoes.

When your doubts creep in, uninvited.

When no one is watching, applauding, or even caring.

Write in the dark.
Not because you see clearly

But because something inside you refuses to stay quiet.

Because even shadows need a story.

Write when your heart is too heavy to speak.

When the tears blur your vision
And the only thing that makes sense
Is the rhythm of your fingers against the keys.

Write in the dark,
Because some of your most honest words
Will never show up in the light.

They live in the hush.
The ache.
The alone.

So go ahead.

Bleed quietly onto the page.

Whisper your truth into the void.

And trust that someday,

Someone searching through their own darkness

Will find your words
And feel a little less alone.
