The Strength To Heal What Pain Tried To Destroy...

They said forgiveness is weakness…
That turning the other cheek means you’ve given up the fight.

Forgiveness is not the absence of pain…

Because to forgive,

Not hide it.
Not bury it.
But stare it in the face and say,

Pain tried to destroy me—

But forgiveness…

Forgiveness isn’t saying what they did was okay.

I chose to forgive—
