TRAFFIC ADVISORY: INTERNATIONAL HALF MARATHON 2026 (ABUJA FCT)

The FCT motoring public is hereby notified of the International Half Marathon taking place in the Federal Capital Territory.

To ensure the safety of athletes and effective traffic management, the entire race route will be temporarily closed to traffic from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Saturday, 6th December 2025.

RACE ROUTE

START POINT:
Opposite National Federal Fire Service, Mohammed Buhari Way

Route Progression:
➡️ Straight down before Gana Street, turn right into Constitution Avenue
➡️ Continue straight to Federal Secretariat, turn right into Shehu Shagari Way
➡️ Proceed straight after Court of Appeal, turn left into Goodluck Jonathan Expressway
➡️ Continue straight and turn right into Murtala Mohammed Expressway
➡️ Move straight to Apo Roundabout, turn right into Nnamdi Azikiwe Expressway
➡️ Continue straight to Area 1 / Galadimawa Roundabout, turn left into Ambassador Valentine Okereke Boulevard
➡️ Proceed straight and turn right into Christopher Gwabin Musa Way
➡️ Continue straight and turn right into Package B Sports Complex
➡️ Run through Package B to Package A

FINISH POINT:
In front of the Velodrome, Abuja.

🚧 TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT:

Traffic and security personnel will be stationed along the entire route to guide motorists and ensure smooth movement.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes to avoid delays or being held in traffic.
