Former Jigawa Governor Sule Lamido Spearheads PDP Congress Committee in Oyo State, Ushering in New Era of Leadership for Party’s Southwest Stronghold, as Governor Makinde cast Vote for Candidates of his choice.

In a pivotal move to strengthen the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) organizational framework ahead of the highly anticipated National Convention in November, former Jigawa State Governor and PDP chieftain, His Excellency Dr Sule Lamido, has taken the helm of the party’s Congress Committee in Oyo State.
Under his leadership, the committee is currently conducting the state congress today at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, culminating in the election of a vibrant new state executive council poised to drive PDP’s resurgence in the State.
The congress, holding at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan, drew delegates from across Oyo’s 33 local government areas, reflecting broad-based participation and unity within the party’s ranks, as Governor Seyi Makinde, who is one of the delegates cast his ballot for candidates of his choice.
Lamido, renowned for his decades of service as a two-term governor, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, and a founding pillar of the PDP, is Chairing the proceedings with characteristic poise and inclusivity.
His guidance will ensure a transparent, peaceful, and democratic process, adhering strictly to the party’s constitution and electoral guidelines.
