PDP Constitutes Cross River State Party Caretaker Committee

The National Working Committee (NWC) of our great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the composition of a Caretaker Committee to run the affairs of the Cross River State Chapter of our Party.

This follows the expiration of the tenure of the State Executive Committee of the Cross River State Chapter having been elected four years ago.

The Caretaker Committee is to manage the affairs of the Party in Cross River State from Wednesday, October 1st, 2025 for a period not exceeding 3 months, or until such a time a new State Executive Committee will be elected in the State.

The members of the Cross River State PDP Caretaker Committee are;

A wani muhimmin mataki na karfafa tsarin jam’iyyar Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) a gaban babban taron kasa da ake sa ran gudanarwa a watan Nuwamba, tsohon gwamnan jihar Jigawa kuma babban jigon jam’iyyar PDP, Mai girma Dr. Sule Lamido, ya karbi jagorancin kwamitin gudanar da kongres na jam’iyyar a jihar Oyo.

A karkashin shugabancinsa, kwamitin yana gudanar da taron kongres na jihar yau a filin wasa na Lekan Salami dake Adamasingba, inda za a zabi sabuwar kwamitin zartarwa ta jihar da zata inganta dawowar karfin jam’iyyar a jihar.

Taron kongres din da ake yi a filin wasa na Lekan Salami, ya ja hankalin wakilai daga dukkan kananan hukumomi 33 na jihar Oyo, abin da ya nuna karfafa hadin kai da shigar jama’a cikin tsarin jam’iyyar. Cikin wakilan akwai Gwamna Seyi Makinde, wanda shi ma ya kada kuri’arsa ga ‘yan takarar da yake so.

Sule Lamido, wanda aka sani da jajircewar sa a matsayinsa na tsohon gwamna mai wa’adin shekaru biyu, tsohon ministan harkokin waje da kuma daya daga cikin ginshikan kafa jam’iyyar PDP, yana shugabantar wannan aiki da kwarewa da kuma hada kai.

Shugabancinsa zai tabbatar da gudanar da tsarin zabe cikin gaskiya, lumana da bin doka da tsarin jam’iyyar baki daya.

Former Jigawa Governor Sule Lamido Spearheads PDP Congress Committee in Oyo State, Ushering in New Era of Leadership for Party’s Southwest Stronghold, as Governor Makinde cast Vote for Candidates of his choice.

Ibadan, Oyo State

In a pivotal move to strengthen the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) organizational framework ahead of the highly anticipated National Convention in November, former Jigawa State Governor and PDP chieftain, His Excellency Dr Sule Lamido, has taken the helm of the party’s Congress Committee in Oyo State.

Under his leadership, the committee is currently conducting the state congress today at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, culminating in the election of a vibrant new state executive council poised to drive PDP’s resurgence in the State.

The congress, holding at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan, drew delegates from across Oyo’s 33 local government areas, reflecting broad-based participation and unity within the party’s ranks, as Governor Seyi Makinde, who is one of the delegates cast his ballot for candidates of his choice.

Lamido, renowned for his decades of service as a two-term governor, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, and a founding pillar of the PDP, is Chairing the proceedings with characteristic poise and inclusivity.

His guidance will ensure a transparent, peaceful, and democratic process, adhering strictly to the party’s constitution and electoral guidelines.

Kwamitin Shirya Babban Taron Gangamin Kasa na jam’iyyar PDP (NCOC) ya sanar da kara wa’adin mika takardun bayyana niyya da na tsayawa takara na wadanda ke son yin takara a Babban Taron Zaben Shugabannin Kasa na jam’iyyar da za a gudanar daga ranar 15 zuwa 16 ga Nuwamba, 2025 a birnin Ibadan, Jihar Oyo.

Tun da farko an bayyana cewa ranar Juma’a, 26 ga Satumba, 2025 ita ce ranar karshe, amma yanzu an kara wa’adin.

Haka zalika, kwamitin NCOC ya amince da dage ranar tantance ‘yan takarar daga ranar Talata, 30 ga Satumba, 2025 zuwa wani lokaci na gaba.

Wannan karin wa’adi ya zama dole domin bayar da damar kammala duk shirye-shiryen da s**a wajaba don gudanar da taron cikin nasara.

Za a sanar da sabbin ranaku a nan gaba.

Dukkan ‘yan takara su lura da wannan sabon wa’adi, kuma su yi aiki da shi yadda ya dace.

Kwamitin Aiki na Kasa (NWC) na jam’iyyar Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ya amince da dage taron jihohi na zaben sabbin shugabannin jam’iyya na jihohin Filato da Cross River.

Saboda haka, taron jihohi da aka shirya gudanarwa a ranar Asabar, 27 ga Satumba, 2025, an dage shi zuwa wani sabon lokaci da za a sanar a nan gaba.

PDP Postpones Plateau and Cross River Congress, to Fix New Dates

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the postponement of State Congress for the purpose of electing new State Executive Committee of our Party in Plateau and Cross River States.

Consequently, the State Congress in the two States earlier scheduled to hold on Saturday, September 27th 2025 has been postponed to a new date which will be communicated in due course.

The NWC urges all leaders, critical stakeholders, teeming members of the PDP, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the media, security agencies and the general public to note the postponement and be guided accordingly.
