Dangote Petroleum Refinery has again announced a further reduction in the prices of both diesel and aviation fuel to N940, N980 per litre respectively.

This is coming at the wake of its widely celebrated price reduction to N1,000 barely two weeks ago.

As confirmed by Native Reporters, the price change of N940 is applicable to customers buying five million litres and above from the refinery, while the price of N970 is for customers buying one million litres and above.

Speaking on the new development, the Head of Communication, Mr Anthony Chiejina, explained that the new price is in consonance with the company’s commitment to cushion the effect of economic hardship in Nigeria.

“I can confirm to you that Dangote Petroleum Refinery has entered a strategic partnership with MRS Oil and Gas stations, to ensure that consumers get to buy fuel at affordable price, in all their stations be it Lagos or Maiduguri. You can buy as low as 1 litre of diesel at N1,050 and aviation fuel at N980 at all major airports where MRS operates.”

Each Governor Has Received N570B As Additional Support From FG – Mohammed Idris

Idris revealed that since December, governors have received over 570 billion naira in additional support from the federal government. This substantial amount is intended to assist states in managing various projects and responsibilities.

Minister of Information Mohammed Idris made significant revelations during his appearance on the "Brekete Family Show." His discussion revealed a number of previously hidden details about the distribution of funds across different levels of government in Nigeria.

Idris addressed a common misconception about the allocation of funds, clarifying that the money does not belong solely to the federal government.

He explained that funds are shared among the federal, state, and local governments.

In his comments, he questioned whether the collective funds received by governors and President Bola Tinubu had increased and urged people to consider the money allocated to state and local governments.

BREAKING NEWS.......
Court Reinstates Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu
orders IGP to immediately restore his security as deputy governor*

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, this morning reinstated Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu as the Deputy Governor of Edo State, following his earlier impeachment by the Edo State House of Assembly.

The Court presided over by Hon. Justice James Omotosho held that the removal of the Plaintiff, Shaibu from office as Deputy Governor of Edo State and the subsequent appointment of Omobayo Godwins as his replacement by the Governor of Edo State was illegal, unconstitutional, null and void. The Court held that there was a breach of the provisions of the procedure laid out in Section 188(1) to (9) in the way and manner the impeachment process was conducted. The court noted that the ouster clause in Section 188(10) limiting the jurisdiction is not a stand alone provision. The Court referred to the decision of the Nigerian Supreme Court in Inakoju v. Adeleke(2007). The court therefore ordered the 1st Defendant, the Inspector General of Police to immediately restore the security of the Plaintiff as Deputy Governor of Edo State. At the time of filing this report supporters of the Plaintiff were seen within the court premises celebrating the court verdict. The court held the impeachment was politically motivates, because of his aspiration to contest the office of Governor of Edo State.

More details later.
