The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the killing of the Registrar of the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo (UNIMED), Mr Ezekiel Imoleayo Adeniran. The Court of Appeal in Abuja on Friday, ordered immediate reinstatement of ACP James Idachaba, who was compulsorily retired by the Police Service Commission (PSC). Justice Mohammed Danjuma, who delivered the lead judgment, also reversed the directive by the PSC, requiring him to refund eight years’ salaries with effect from Aug. 1, 2025. Enugu State Government has shutdown some illegal and unlicensed gaming centres in different parts of the state capital. The Executive Secretary of the State Gaming and Lotto Commission, Prince Arinze Arum, while addressing journalists during the enforcement exercise on Sunday, said the sealing was part of the commission’s renewed commitment against illegal gaming.
