CHAPTER TWO
MARYAM's POV
"Assalamualaikum warahmatullah" the doctor made tasleem and asked if he could enter
"Wa'laykummussalaam yes doctor welcome" replied Rahmah
"Doctor look at my big sist" I said to the doctor amidst tears immediately he entered paving way for her to pass
"don't worry she will be fine In Shaa Allah, also Doctor Ahmad is supposed to be here but he couldn't make it that's why I came" the doctor replied touching big sist
the doctor did a thorough check up on Afrah and gave her some injections then he affirms that everything will be fine and that it is a blessings from Almighty Allah
"Maryam don't worry your sister will be fine just let her have some rest and I have a great news for you but before then one of you should follow me to the hospital to collect the result slip" the doctor said puting on a smiling face
"are you sure she is ok" I asked
"yes she is fine little Maryam" said doctor
"ok if that is the case I will follow you to the hospital In Shaa Allah, please Rahmah take good care of big sist I will be back in a jiffy In Shaa Allah" I said making a pleading face
"ok no problem" replied Rahmah
"but doctor what is that good news you have for us" I asked curiously while going out of the room with Doctor Labeebah
"don't worry little Maryam the good news is in the result slip" doc Labeebah said making a smiling face
I looked at Rahmah from behind making a face of "I hope is not what am thinking" Rahmah nodded in affirmation making a face for me to be calm

The doctor gave me the result slip and the drugs he prescribes for big sist then he congratulates me with a smiling face
"Here Maryam, this is the result slip and her drugs, it is already prescribed and congratulations to your family" the doctor hand over the paper to her and then she collected it
I looked at the paper on my hand carefully and exclaimed
"Subhaanallaaah!!! big sist and big bro will be overjoy after seeing this am really happy thank you Ya Rabb and thanks to you too doc I should be on my way now" I said and smiled at doctor Labeebah running from the doctor's office
"ok In Shaa Allah and tell Afrah to visit on 5th In Shaa Allah" said Doctor Labeebah
"ok I will, ma'assalaaam" I replied yelling because I was almost out of the doctor's office
"na'am fee amaanillah" replied doc Labeebah yelling too
I was so excited and can't wait to give the paper to my big sist, I board a cab and the cab took mer home, immediately I entered the room I kept on shouting big sist
"big sist! big sist!! big sist!!!" Maryam continue shouting big sist while climbing the stairs in a rush till Rahmah came out of the room and met her climbing the last step
"Maryam what's up with u nah" Rahmah asked
Rahmah where is my sister" I asked panting
"she is praying"
"ohhhh... what about you aren't you gonna pray?" I asked while we were heading to the room were Afrah was
"have you forgotten we are in it together" Rahmah answered
"in what?" I asked making a question face
"ah ah Maryam red card na"
"ohh! sorry I for...."
I was about completing my words when Afrah asked why I was outcrying her name like that
"ah big sist guess what" I said hiding the paper at my back
"Maryam you know am not good at guessing, besides you know am stressed out so please don't make it worse for me"Afrah said sitting down on her king sized bed
ah ahhhhh, ok look at this.. I said handing over the paper to Afrah with wild smiles on my face, seeing those smiles, Afrah took the paper from me hastily and open it she read the paper over and over again wiping her face to make sure she isn't dreaming, then all of a sudden she shouted Allahu Akbar!!! and went to sujuud (prostration) and thank Allah for answering her prayers, then rise up from sujuud with tears of joy and hug me so tight that I couldn't breath well.
"Maryam am pregnant!!!" Afrah said half yelling still hugging me so tight
"Yes you are big sist, but can I have a small breath at least" I said forcing myselfelf to talk
Sorry dear just too overwhelmed" Afrah replied adjusting a bit while I wipe off her tears and cupping her face in my palms with a bright smile on my face, it was then that Rahmah speaks up and congratulate big sist while hugging us
"congratulations ma, baarakillaahu feeki" Rahmah said hugging both Afrah and I
"Aameen, wa iyyaaki dear" replied Afrah hugging her back
"I will be on my way now, I have something doing at home, will check up on u later In Shaa Allah" said Rahmah disengaging from the hug
"ok, thanks so much for the care and love, jazaakillaahu khayran" said Afrah
Aameen wa iyyaaki" replied Rahmah
big sist I will be right back let me just es**rt her outside, just have some rest okay" I said winking at her making her chuckle a bit

AFRAH POV
I sighed in joy relaxing on the sofa in my bedroom, then I picked my phone and dialed my husband's number, in just a twinkle he picked up
Salaamualaykum hearthrub" I made tasleem
walaykumussalaam warahmatullah wabarakaatuh habeebatyy" Muhammad replied
when are you coming back home?" I asked wishing he will be on his way that moment because I can't wait any longer
"I will be on my way so..
better ooo cuz you need to be home ASAP" Muhammad was about saying soon when Maryam cut in, I never knew she is back
"Any news? asked Muhammad
"ye.... Maryam was about saying yes when I glared at her with the face of "don't say anything or else I will smatch you"
"Nothing much, just come home soon, I missed you" I replied with a cry voice or should I said a cat voice
"okay sweetie I will be coming now In Shaa Allah" Muhammad said closing his office door
May Allah be your es**rt" I prayed and he said Ameeen before ending the call.
MUHAMMAD POV
I was going to the carport hastily when I bumped into my friend as well as my P.A
"guy watch out!" Mustapha said picking my bag from the floor
"hope all is cool, and why are you going home early today, this is just 4:30pm" Mustapha asked handing over the bag to me
"yeah everything is fine, remember I told you this morning I have been feeling overjoy but doesn't have any clue to my feelings" I said collecting my bag from him
"yeah and I can still see that excitement written all over your face, so what's up any good news" said Mustapha excorting me to the carport
"I think they should be, because I overhead Maryam saying something like yes amidst smile when I asked if there was any news but am very sure my wife cut her off with a glare, and also my wife told me to come early, am very sure there is a good news bro, so see ya latter" I said tapping Mustapha on his shoulder before opening the car door
"I will come with you then, besides it's been long I saw your wife and also I missed her food" Mustapha said putting his palm together like how Indians greet
"eh eh Mustapha I know it's not my wife you missed it's the food and I advice you go get yours chairman of Bachelors" I said in a hailing tone and tapping him on his shoulder
Whatever" Muhammad mumble
"but can I come with you? pleaaase" Musty said making a puppy face
"okay, stop making those face it doesn't suit you" I said while Mustapha roll his eye and scoffed
"so sha...." I was about saying shall we when Musty's phone starts ringing
"oh my younger bro, what is it now" Mustapha mumble before picking up the call
"What!!! how and when... Innalillaahi wa inna ilayhi raajiuun" Mustapha half yelled widening his eyes and letting his phone fall
