‘Don’t let them use my death to promote my glory,’ Portable prays

Controversial artiste Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has prayed that his death wouldn’t be used to promote his glory.

The singer made the supplication on his Instagram page on Wednesday.

This is coming hours after his colleague MohBad’s death was announced.

Vanguard reported that MohBad died on Tuesday at the age of 27.

His death has since sparked reactions on social media with colleagues paying tributes to the ‘Imole’ artiste.

Portable wrote, “As you dey pray for money dey pray make the money last 🙏 As you dey pray make he last dey pray make you last… a close mouth is a close destiny.

“Forget hurrying your water will never float pass you, appreciate God for what you are hoping for and as you do so testimony shall follow ZAZUU IKA OF AFRICA 🌎 On God who get God no dey carry last today is another day another blessing …. we can never lose again.

“God please, I don’t want to die young don’t let them use my death 💀 promote my glory let the world celebrate me when I am still alive.”

Mbappe needs to sign a new contract to stay at PSG
Kylian Mbappe must sign a new contract if he wants to stay at Paris St-Germain, club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi says.

Al-Khelaifi was speaking at a news conference to introduce Luis Enrique as PSG's new manager following the sacking of Christophe Galtier.

France striker Mbappe, 24, has told PSG that he will not extend his contract with them beyond 2024.

"Our position is very clear," said Al-Khelaifi.

"If Kylian Mbappe wants to stay - we want him to stay - he needs to sign a new contract.

"We cannot let the best player in the world right now leave for free. That is impossible."

Mbappe has the option of a further year when his deal expires after next season but has said that while he plans to stay with the French champions for the 2023-24 campaign, he does not intend to activate the contract extension.

If that is the case, he would be able to leave for free next summer.

"This is a French club and, as he has said, he is not planning to leave for free," added Al-Khelaifi.

"If somebody has changed his mind, it is not our fault."

Mbappe, who joined PSG in 2017 initially on loan from Monaco before a 180m euros (£165.7m) transfer, has scored 212 goals in 260 games for the club.

He finished as Ligue 1's top scorer in each of the past five seasons and has won five league titles in his six seasons at PSG.

Six PSG players have contacted club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi to complain about comment's made by Kylian Mbappe during a recent interview.

Mbappé described his own club Paris Saint-Germain as a "divisive team," amid a contract standoff between the player and the Ligue 1 champions.

Relations between PSG and Mbappé soured last month after the France international said he would not renew his contract that expires at the end of next season, meaning he can leave for free in June 2024. In fact, it has been sensationally claimed two of the six players that have contacted club chiefs only joined PSG this summer.

Real Madrid are thought to be keen to wait till next summer to get their man on a free. Mbappe indirectly claimed he will only win the Champions League somewhere else, hinting he would not win the prestigious trophy at the club.

'Someone was asking me for $35,000', Chinedu Ikedieze tells netizens to stop begging him for money

Nollywood actor, Chinedu Ikedieze, popularly known as Aki, has urged people who frequently message him online to stop requesting money from him.

The comedic actor expressed his annoyance in a video on his Instagram page on Monday where he highlighted the messages he receives from people pleading for both large and paltry sums of money.

He claimed that one of his outrageous beggars had asked him for $35,000, while the other requested for $12,000 to open a shop.

He said that he cannot continue to give in to demands from the public, because doing so would cause his financial situation to collapse given how bad the nation's economy is currently doing.

He said," Guys I'm not happy this thing is getting out of hand, how can you people turn my DM to a bank. If I open my dm every time is bros please, its to much .

"The way you guys are asking us for money is like we dont have responsibility, if I start to share the money like that, it will finish.

"Anytime I open my message is either I see bros I need 40 thousand, bros my mother is sick. Imagine someone was begging me for $35,000 that is like 27million another one was asking me for 12 thousand dollars that he wants to open a shop."
