I had hopefully looked forward to seeing Dan Agbese, an elder and a mentor, at the annual conference of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) in Abuja that took place in November 12 and 13, 2025, and a few days after the event, the news of his death came as a shock. Imo hosts NUJ Zonal Meeting 29th November

All is set for the hosting of the 2025 South East (Zone C) Zonal Executive Council, ZEC, meeting of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ in Owerri, the capital city of Imo State. According to a release from the media department, Office of the Zonal Vice President, it is the turn of Imo to host the ZEC meeting, which rotates among the five states in the South East....

It's Imo NUJ's turn to host the ZEC meeting which is the highest decision making body for the Union at the zonal Level led by Comrade Adiuku.
