Nollywood throws into mourning as Actress Ademola dies at 43.

The Nollywood community is in mourning following the sudden passing of actress and producer, Allwell Ademola, who reportedly succumbed to a heart attack at the age of 43 on December 27, 2025. Earlier that day, concerns about her health had been raised after a neighbor alerted a WhatsApp group that Ademola was receiving medical attention at a clinic in Agege, Lagos.

Her death has left colleagues and fans devastated, particularly as she had shared a reflective post just hours prior, expressing her desire to witness the end of the year. A respected figure in the Yoruba film industry, Ademola was known for her versatility and enduring presence on screen. With a career spanning several decades, she featured in numerous Nollywood productions, earning admiration for her ability to inhabit complex maternal and community-centered roles.

Beyond acting, Ademola also worked as a producer, contributing to the growth of indigenous storytelling within the industry. Fellow actress Faithia Williams expressed her shock on Instagram, writing, "Haaaa. This hit me so bad. Eniobanke. Allahu Akbar..Allwell."

Mide Martins also reacted, posting a photo of Ademola on Facebook with the caption, "BLACK SATURDAY…this is not fair. May God forgive your shortcomings Allwell."
