Adewale Maja-Pearce is an author and editor with several published books. Popular among his works are In My Father’s Country and Who’s Afraid of Wole Soyinka?: Essays on Censorship. Maja-Pearce was editor of the Heinemann African Writers’ Series and Africa editor of Index on Censorship.

“I researched the top writing programs in the United States and applied to a number of them. The most challenging part of the application process was crafting my Statement of Purpose.
