I traveled with my man to see his people for the very first time,before traveling my man did a huge chopping for his parents including his siblings.but anytime he is not around and we want to cook his mom would send their last born to come and tell me to bring money for feeding,the first money she collected from me was 5k.At first I didn’t see it as anything but they continued doing this,like I have been the one paying for everything I eat in that house.so one day she sent her daughter to tell me to give her 3k which I boldly told her that I don’t have,so in the evening I was having a gist with my man when her mum came in,she told us she would love to discuss something very important with us.she asked me if I’m very ready for marriage which my answer was was yes.and she nodded and said Story! In their dialect. The next thing she said was,how can you be ready for marriage when you don’t haveccommon 3k? Me ;how ma? is it because I refuse to give you 3k?and she said yes that her son will not marry a liability.that statement actually got me pi**ed like was I supposed to provide a thing in that house?mehn this is my first visit. The following morning I had to pick up my things and left. Thank God my home town is not far from theirs.my man has been calling to apologize but I don’t think I can go ahead with such marriage.please what do you think I should do?

waking up by that hour everyday to cook for son of man is something I can’t do.and If that’s gonna disqualify me as a wife material then so be it.

No reasonable man will allow his dear wife to be waking up everyday by such hour to cook for him.
