My dear Naija pipo,
1. I dey talk to una today with heavy heart and sense of responsibility, knowing say turmoil and violent protests don dey happen for some of our states.
2. Na young Naija pipo wey want better and more progressive country where dem dreams, hopes, and personal aspirations go dey fulfilled dey among di protesters.
3. I dey pain well well for di loss of lives for Borno, Jigawa, Kano, Kaduna and other states, di destruction of public facilities for some states, and di wanton looting of supermarkets and shops, wey no dey follow di promise of protest organisers say di protest go be peaceful across di country.
4. I dey condole with di families and relations of those wey don die for di protests. We must stop further bloodshed, violence and destruction.
5. As President of dis country, I must ensure public order. In line with my constitutional oath to protect di lives and property of every citizen, our government no go stand idly by and allow a few pipo with clear political agenda to tear dis nation apart.
6. Under di circumstances, I hereby enjoin protesters and di organisers to suspend any further protest and create room for dialogue, wey I don always accede to at di slightest opportunity. Naija require all hands on deck and need us all - regardless of age, party, tribe, religion or other divides, to work together in reshaping our destiny as a nation.
7. To those wey don take undue advantage of dis situation to threaten any section of dis country, make una know say di law go catch up with una. No place for ethnic bigotry or such threats for di Naija wey we seek to build.
