Tinubu Appointee Caught Sponsoring Skits to Attack FG Over Ekiti Roads ~ RMA

August 15, 2025

A major political controversy has erupted in Ekiti State as the Renewed Media Agenda (RMA) accuses a Federal Government appointee, Engr. Kayode Ojo, of bankrolling a coordinated smear campaign against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration over the state of federal roads in the state.

Ojo, who is Chairman Governing Council and Pro-Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, allegedly hired comedians Kunle Aford and Woli Agba, both from Ogun State to produce attack skits targeting the Federal Government and, by extension, the President.

RMA described the videos as “carefully crafted to mislead the public, shift blame, and tarnish the reputation of the state government,” stressing that the Ado-Aramoko-Itawure road, which was the focus of the attacks, is a federal road under Abuja’s jurisdiction.

“The smoking gun came in the final moments of Woli Agba’s video, where he made a direct reference to Kayode Ojo, effectively confirming the source of sponsorship for this orchestrated misinformation campaign,” RMA said in its statement.

The group dismissed the stunt as “a calculated and coordinated political ambush dressed as entertainment,” adding, “A leopard will never change its spots. Ojo can never be a loyalist of any party.”

They recalled that after losing the APC governorship primary in 2022, Ojo “dragged the party to court all the way to the Supreme Court and openly directed his followers to work against the party and vote for SDP in the last gubernatorial election.”

According to RMA, Ojo’s current moves mirror his actions in 2022: “If he could sabotage APC in Ekiti, then it should surprise no one that he is now attempting to undermine the PBAT-led Federal Government. Like he did in Ekiti, he is simply repeating the same playbook at the federal level.”

Defending the President’s performance on Ekiti roads, RMA stated: “The Ado-Ijan-Omuo road has been awarded, contractors are on site, and the Ado-Ikere-Akure road is nearing completion.” They further noted that the Ekiti State Government had paid over ₦400 million in compensation to fast-track work on federal road projects in Ikere, Ado-Ijan, and Omuo-Ifaki corridors.

“Rather than bankroll comedians to act out ignorance, we urge all stakeholders to unite behind ongoing efforts to secure more federal attention for Ekiti’s road network.

"The people deserve solutions, not sponsored drama,” RMA concluded.

YORUBA NATION IS SLEEPING.

Some of us who recruited Buhari had a mission. And I will reveal that mission today.
General Buhari came into politics. It was not his province. He never liked the politicians because he believed we are fake and that we do not mean what we say.
But there was an incident that made some of us recruit him, convince him, and use other people to convince him to join politics, even though we had our own agenda.
In 1999 and 2000, the OPC was on a rampage in some parts of the country, especially the South West, and had inconvenienced a lot of people from this part of the country to the extent that they mobilized over 500 vehicles to come and invade Ilorin with the sole aim of uprooting what they called Fulani structures in Ilorin.
We felt that was too much, and President Obasanjo was doing nothing. President Bola Tinubu, then Governor of Lagos, was doing nothing. And some of us felt that those groups of people were being encouraged by their leaders in positions of authority. So how do we stop that?
I called a meeting in Kaduna, about 34 of us, and we sat down to reason. How do we save our people from this OPC menace?
I suggested that we have to, because you remove government through only two ways. The barrel of the gun and through the ballot box. And they said it was impossible to challenge General Obasanjo. That was how Buhari came to our mind.
And when he was approached, he had very unkind words for politicians. But since he did not say he was not doing it, we still persuaded him.
To cut a long story short, we achieved our first purpose of putting a brake on what the OPC was doing. Immediately Buhari joined partisan politics, we had a very big outing to initiate him into politics. The Obasanjo government became restive and was shaken to its bone marrow. Obasanjo had to really checkmate the OPC.
So, for that reason, we achieved our first purpose of bringing General Buhari into partisan politics. The remaining now is history.”

That Obsolescence called National Grid

Nigeria is one of the very few countries that operate national grids. Most large countries operate regional and embedded grids. National grids, especially in large countries, are an headache. When all generated power must first be fed into the national grid and transmitted through a single switch board to the rest of the country, it becomes a menace! And it is a means of measuring national stupidity!

Egbin thermal plant with 1250MW, located in Ikorodu, should serve Lagos.

Papalanto power with 225MW in Ogun State should serve Ogun State.

Omotoso power plant should serve Ondo alone.

Sapele & Ughelli should serve Delta and environs.

Azura should serve Edo.

Kainji Dam with 960MW should serve Niger & environs.

Leave Geregu to Kogi!

Calabar power plant with 150MW should serve Calabar.
..and so on.

You don't have a power plant to serve your region? Then come together as a region to build yours! Don't be lazy, Bozo! The EPSRA of 2013 was enacted for that purpose! NBET should be dissolved!

The Nigerian northeastern region doesn't have a single power plant! They're only interested in religious activities and terrorism! The northwest has none either; and 40% of Kano residents don't even pay electricity bills! Only Jebba and Kainji produce power in the northcentral! No power produced in Benue, Adamawa, Taraba, Bauchi, Gombe, Kwara! Chai! Plateau produces 3MW and it is private! A private Dam constructed in 1903 and powers only Bukuru. No, they ain't connected to the national grid! Lucky them; power is constant!

Eastern Nigeria kwa'nu? Anambra, Enugu, Imo and Ebonyi do NOT produce jack! Abia left that chat room with the advent of Geometrix power plant in Aba. Now, the Aba area is developing at a frenetic pace due to embedded generation...and well, with a governor that has sense.

National grid system is an excuse for laziness! If there must be a national grid, only EXCESS power should be fed in! A power plant must satisfy the
