One of the hardest lessons I’ve learned growing up especially as I began finding my own voice is knowing when to block, delete, and cut people off.
Completely. Permanently. No guilt. No second-guessing.
Because here’s what life has taught me:
When you start growing, your growth will make some people uncomfortable.
Not because you’ve changed for the worse, but because your new level no longer entertains their old comfort.
And when that happens, they’ll try to pull you back into the version of yourself that made them feel safe.
You start a business they mock it.
You start sewing, designing, or creating they say, “Is it not just…?”
You start writing, they laugh, “Who even asked you to write?”
You start showing up confidently online, they roll their eyes or whisper, “She’s doing too much.”
But here’s the real truth:
It’s not that you’re doing too much.
It’s that they feel too little around your light.
I’ve learned that protecting your peace sometimes means cutting access.
Not because you hate anyone, but because you love yourself enough to guard your growth.
You’re already fighting your own fears, doubts, and insecurities, it makes no sense to keep people who add more noise to that battle.
Why surround yourself with those who feed your fear instead of your faith?
Why keep voices that keep saying, “Can you even do it?” or “It’s not possible”?
Listen, see finish is real, and it’s dangerous.
If you let it linger, it can quietly erase your confidence and kill your dreams.
And the sad part? It often comes from those closest to you.
So, sometimes, the smartest thing you can do for your peace and progress is block access.
You don’t owe everyone an explanation.
You don’t have to justify your boundaries.
Mute the noise. Block the energy drainers. Delete the doubts.
When your results start speaking, let them watch in silence.
Because your peace is power.
Your growth is sacred.
And your future cannot be shaped by people still clinging to your past.
So ask yourself today:
Who is shrinking your confidence?
Who is keeping you from evolving?
And why are you still allowing them that access?
You don’t owe them access. You owe yourself progress.
Protect your energy. Guard your space. Build in peace.
Because your destiny is too heavy for shallow company.
No pride. No hard feelings. Just growth.
BLOCK TO BUILD. PROTECT TO PROGRESS. DELETE TO ELEVATE.
Let them go and watch yourself grow.
