BENUE LINKS NIGERIA LIMITED TO RESUME MARINE SERVICES SOON.
– Acquires Taxis for Inter-State Travels.
Benue Links Nigeria Limited has concluded plans to revive its marine section and resume marine transport services for the good people of Benue State. The General Manager of Benue Links, Comrade Alexander Aondohemba Fanafa KSM MNIM, disclosed this during his appearance on “Burning Issues,” an audience-participatory program on Brothers FM 90.5 MHz, Makurdi, Benue State, on Friday, May 16, 2025.
According to Comrade Fanafa, the Benue State Ministry of Power, Renewable Energy, and Transport,under the leadership of the Honourable Commissioner, Barr. Omale Omale, has procured and made available flying boats for the company’s use in marine transport. He noted that the resumption of marine transport services will not only enhance utilization of the state's waterways but will also support security patrols to curb the movement of bandits into the state through those routes.
In a related development, Comrade Fanafa announced the acquisition of sedan cars (four passengers and a driver) by Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia, to boost the company’s interstate travel operations.
He concluded by expressing appreciation to the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, for his immense support, which has enabled the company to effectively implement the people-centered transport initiatives of his administration. He also thanked the Honourable Commissioner for providing a conducive working environment that has supported the growth of the transport sector, and he commended the good people of the state for their continued trust in Governor Alia and the state-owned transport company.
Also speaking during the program, the Manager of Planning, Research, and Statistics at Benue Links, Mr. Cornelius Ebute , highlighted the growing demand for the company’s services, attributed to recent investments and the acquisition of new buses by Governor Alia. He encouraged passengers to take advantage of the company’s online booking platform, www.benuelinks.com/bus-tickets, to avoid long queues at the park. He further reaffirmed the management’s commitment to continuous innovation aimed at making travel easier, safer, and more comfortable for its growing customer base.
The program, anchored by ace broadcaster Omale R. Orokpo, featured numerous enthusiastic callers who commended the current leadership of Benue Links, under Comrade Fanafa, for the remarkable strides being made at the company.
