Our mothers hid the truth from us.😭

Why did they not explain this in details?

READ THE NAKED TRUTH👇

This post is for single people. The ladies especially.

Nne, come close let me talk to you woman to woman, sister to sister.

Being a mother is hard.

Very very hard.

No matter who you marry tomorrow.

Please while you’re waiting for that right man to come, please build your career, go to school/ learn a skill, develop yourself.

Go on that vacation, live your best life, eat the meals you love and enjoy it with your sanity intact.

Because when children start coming, your life will NEVER remain the same again, your privacy will be tampered with, even in the toilet, you’ll hear the echoes of “mum”… you’ll be struggling to have a “me” time, no matter how many helps you have.

Your sleep? You wish😁,,, you will never sleep for 8hours again , even if no one wakes you up, you will wake up by yourself to check your kids, your sleep pattern automatically changes. Some of us, even the sound of a pin wakes us up. It even gets worse as your kids increase in number.

Your anxiety increases, nothing bothers you keh?, a little thing will cause you panic. When your kids are toddlers and Even when your kids are grown and leave the house, you will always worry for them. My mum calls all her children everyday… that care is permanent, you can’t change it. If my mum hears any news at all that happened anywhere in the world , she calls all of us, even if she had spoken to you prior to that. She will still call you.

Then, It takes a SUPER WOMAN to start a business from scratch while married and it thrives and grows into a multimillion firm.

Doing a first degree course as a married woman? Very hard… you might likely have a baby on the day of your exams. Ask those who did it, they’ll explain better.

Even to go to church and be as devoted as you were when you were still single, gets very very tough😩. You attend daily church programs? Okay wait till you have babies.

Now, imagine marrying the wrong man with all these afore mentioned struggles…lol

Being with a kind man makes the journey easy, some emotional supports here and there, the companionship, the team work, now if there’s money… you won’t lack the basic things, helps will surround you.. 30% of your motherly roles are lifted from you.

I won’t lie to you, no matter how wealthy you are…. Being a mother is a heavy task that only God himself knows how we are able to navigate through.

So nne, your singlehood? Enjoy it while it lasts.❤️

Yesterday was such an emotional day for me 😭😭😭

I watched my friend carry her daughter home after her child spent a week in ICU.

Thank you Jesus 🙏

Embracing the Journey of Motherhood

As October unfolds, I would typically launch 'THE BIG ONE SERIES.' However, life has taken an unexpected turn, and I've found myself on a spiral journey. Today marks almost a year since Baby ZEE arrived, and I'm in awe of God's unwavering faithfulness.

Motherhood has been the most challenging yet transformative experience of my life, especially without my mom's physical presence. Navigating each month as ZEE grew has taught me invaluable lessons in attentiveness, self-trust, and resilience.

Reflecting on my upbringing, I cherish the memories of my mom's unwavering dedication to our family. Her legacy lives on in me:

- Singing my dad's praises, fostering a culture of love and respect
- Embracing frugality, preparing for life's uncertainties
- Finding solace in faith, prioritizing spiritual growth
- Balancing selflessness with self-care

I'm grateful to implement these values in my own home, honoring Mama Ada's timeless wisdom. As I celebrate nearly a year of motherhood, I've discovered a newfound sense of growth and maturity.

Baby ZEE, you've transformed me in ways I never thought possible. Thank you for being my little miracle.

To all mothers, especially those navigating the journey without their own mothers, know you're not alone. Your strength, love, and sacrifices shape the next generation.

Here's to many more lessons, laughter, and tears of joy!
