Ogun Chief Judge Commissions Purpose-Built Multi-Door Courthouse, commends Ọba Odusanya.

The Chief Judge of Ogun State, Hon. Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu, has commended the Olu of Idi-Oke Kingdom, Oba Saheed Ifalohun Odusanya, for his unwavering commitment to the administration of justice, describing him as a monarch whose investments in judicial infrastructure have continued to strengthen access to justice in Ogun State.

Justice Dipeolu gave the commendation during the commissioning of the purpose-built Ogun Multi-Door Courthouse Centre at Idi-Oke, Igbesa, a facility donated by the monarch to commemorate his Tenth year Coronation Anniversary on Wednesday, 23rd June, 2026

His Lordship noted that the project represents another milestone in the Judiciary's efforts to make justice accessible, affordable, timely and responsive to the needs of the people noting that the Multi-Door Courthouse has become a vital component of modern justice delivery, providing alternative pathways for dispute resolution through mediation, conciliation, arbitration and negotiation, thereby reducing the burden of prolonged litigation on litigants and the courts.

According to her, not every dispute requires years of courtroom proceedings, stressing that many conflicts are better resolved through dialogue and compromise that preserve relationships and promote harmony among parties stressing that the Multi-Door Courthouse offers a faster, more cost-effective and mutually beneficial approach to resolving disputes.

The Chief Judge recalled that the relationship between the Ogun State Judiciary and the traditional ruler has produced several landmark projects, including the Magistrates' Court commissioned in 2020, High Court I commissioned in 2021 and High Court II commissioned in 2023.

She explained that the Ogun Multi-Door Courthouse was initially commissioned in November 2021 and operated from a temporary facility within the Magistrates' Court premises before the completion of the newly commissioned purpose-built centre dedicated exclusively to Alternative Dispute Resolution services.

His Lordship maintained that the Igbesa, Agbara and Idi-Oke axis has emerged as one of Nigeria's fastest-growing industrial and commercial corridors thereby making tavailable efficient dispute resolution mechanisms for sustainableb peace, investment and sueconomic growth in the area. She further emphasized that the administration of justice is a collective responsibility, describing the project as a shining example of successful collaboration between the Judiciary, traditional institutions and the community. She expressed hope that other communities across Ogun State would emulate the gesture by supporting judicial infrastructure development.

Justice Dipeolu announced that the Sixth Ogun Multi-Door Courthouse located in Ilaro is ready for commissioning and is a demonstration of the Judiciary's commitment to extending Alternative Dispute Resolution services to all parts of the Ogun State.

Also speaking at the event, The Chairman, Governing Council, Ogun Multi-door Courthouse, Retired Hon. Justice Solomon Olugbemi expressed delight over the commissioning of the purpose-built Ogun Multi-Door Courthouse Centre, describing it as a remarkable achievement that underscores the unwavering commitment of the Ogun State Judiciary at expanding access to justice through Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Olugbemi noted that the Ogun Multi-Door Courthouse has continued to demonstrate that disputes need not always end in prolonged litigation. He thereby congratulated the Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu, for her visionary leadership in advancing justice delivery in the state.
He also congratulated Oba Saheed Ifalohun Odusanya, the Governing Council, Management and Staff of the Ogun Multi-Door Courthouse and other stakeholders whose collaborative efforts culminated in the successful delivery of the landmark project, expressing hope that the Centre would remain a lasting symbol of accessible justice, peaceful dispute resolution and sustainable development.

In his remarks, Oba Saheed Ifalohun Odusanya appreciated the Chief Judge for her unalloyed support towards the establishment and growth of the Multi-Door Courthouse in the area. The monarch reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote peace, justice and development.

OSAMCOHS Holds Maiden National Reunion, Strengthens Bond Among Alumni

The Old Students Association of Maale Comprehensive High School, Igbesa (OSAMCOHS), on Saturday, 25th April 2026, successfully hosted its first-ever National Physical Reunion Party, themed “Reuniting to Rekindle the Bond.”

The historic gathering, held at the school premises in Igbesa, brought together past students from various graduating sets spanning from 1982 to date. The reunion was organised to foster unity, renew old friendships, encourage networking, and promote collective efforts towards the advancement of their alma mater.

The colourful event attracted a large turnout of alumni members, dignitaries, community leaders, and invited guests, all of whom came together in celebration of shared memories and a renewed commitment to the growth of the institution.

One of the major highlights of the programme was a free health and physical check-up organised for members, demonstrating the association’s concern for the wellbeing of its members while promoting healthy living.

Speaking during the event, the National President of the association, Mr. Adewale Olatunde, FCA, described the reunion as a powerful platform designed to unite all old students under one umbrella for a common purpose. He noted that beyond social interaction, the association remains committed to contributing meaningfully to the development of Maale Comprehensive High School.

According to him, the maiden reunion marks the beginning of greater things to come, as members are determined to harness their collective strength, resources, and experiences for the progress of the school and the wider Igbesa community.

Also speaking, an alumnus, Chief Lukmon Arinle, commended the leadership of the association for organising such a remarkable event. He stated that the reunion would further strengthen the relationship among former students, revive cherished memories, and create opportunities for collaboration that would benefit both members and the school.

Over the years, OSAMCOHS has made notable contributions to the development of Maale Comprehensive High School. Various graduating sets have executed impactful projects, including the provision of a modern borehole, educational support initiatives, health awareness programmes, and other interventions aimed at improving the learning environment.

The revered traditional ruler of Igbesa, the Oloja Ekun of Igbesa Land, HRM Oba Akinde Abdulazeez Oluwatoyin, FCA, who was ably represented at the event, conveyed his royal blessings to the association. He appreciated members for their sustained commitment to promoting education and supporting development efforts in Igbesa Land.

Also present at the gathering was the Olodan of Odan Land, Oba Engr. Teslim Nosiru MNSE, alongside other distinguished personalities and numerous alumni members, each proudly representing their respective sets.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement, nostalgia, laughter, and a strong sense of belonging as old friends reunited, shared memories, and celebrated the enduring legacy of their alma mater.

The maiden national reunion of OSAMCOHS has undoubtedly set a solid foundation for future gatherings and reaffirmed the power of unity, service, and collective responsibility among past students of Maale Comprehensive High School.

OGITECH Holds 4th Annual Staff Health Walk, Plans Medical Screening for Employees & Reaffirms Commitment to Workers’ Welfare

The Directorate of Sports, Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa (OGITECH) on behalf of the management, successfully organised the institution’s 4th Annual Staff Health Walk as part of efforts to promote staff wellbeing, fitness, and a healthy work environment.

The event witnessed active participation from members of staff across various departments, who embarked on the fitness walk from the Institute gate to Aina Bus Stop, and returned to the campus.

Speaking during the programme, The Rector, Dr. Abiodun Babatunde Oluseye stated that the institution does not joke with staff welfare, stressing that a healthy workforce remains critical to the continued growth and success of the Institute. He noted that the annual health walk has become an important welfare initiative designed to encourage regular exercise and strengthen teamwork among staff members.

Dr. Oluseye further disclosed that medical screening for members of staff would follow as part of the continuation of activities lined up for the programme. According to him, the screening is aimed at promoting routine health checks and early detection of possible health challenges.

Also speaking, the Director of Sports, Architect Ogini Olalekan, said regular physical activities such as walking are essential for maintaining good health, reducing stress, and improving productivity in the workplace. He commended the management for its continuous support of staff-oriented programmes.

The event also received support from the FRSC Special Marshal, OGITECH Unit, whose members effectively controlled traffic along the route to ensure the safety of participants throughout the exercise. Their presence contributed significantly to the smooth and successful conduct of the walk.

Participants lauded the Directorate of Sports and the management for sustaining the initiative, describing it as a commendable programme that promotes wellness, unity, and staff morale.

The annual staff health walk has continued to stand out as one of OGITECH’s notable welfare programmes, reflecting the institution’s dedication to the wellbeing of its workforce.

Ogun Emerges Pharma Hub as Sam Pharmaceuticals Opens State-of-the-Art Manufacturing Plant

It was a moment of pride and progress on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, as government officials, industry leaders, and community stakeholders gathered at Ilo-Awela Road, Ota, for the grand opening of the ultra-modern manufacturing plant of Sam Pharmaceuticals Limited.
The event, which attracted top dignitaries from across the country, marked a significant milestone not only for the company but also for Nigeria’s pharmaceutical sector and its drive toward self-sufficiency in healthcare production.

In attendance were the Honourable Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Iziaq Adekunle Salako, the Member of the House of Representatives representing Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency, Hon. Tunji Akinosi, and the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Noimot Salako-Oyedele. Also present was the revered traditional ruler, the Olota of Ota, alongside captains of industry and other distinguished guests.

Delivering the keynote address, Dr. Salako described the commissioning as a “defining moment” in Nigeria’s journey toward medicine security and healthcare independence. He commended Sam Pharmaceuticals for its remarkable growth—from producing just nine products at inception to over 110 today while employing hundreds of Nigerians and contributing significantly to the nation’s healthcare system.

He emphasized that the project aligns with the vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to strengthen local manufacturing under the Renewed Hope Agenda. According to him, recent government initiatives such as the Presidential Initiative to Unlock Healthcare Value Chains (PVAC) and the Executive Order granting zero tariffs on pharmaceutical machinery and raw materials are already yielding tangible results, with over 80 local manufacturers benefiting nationwide.

The Minister also highlighted the importance of the new facility in reducing Nigeria’s dependence on imported medicines, especially in light of lessons learned during the COVID-19 pandemic and shifting global health funding dynamics.

In her remarks, Deputy Governor Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele lauded the investment as a strategic boost to Ogun State’s industrial profile, noting that the state continues to position itself as a hub for manufacturing and innovation. She reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to supporting businesses through favorable policies and infrastructure development.

Hon. Tunji Akinosi , representing the host federal constituency, described the project as a major win for local economic development, citing its potential to create jobs, empower youths, and stimulate ancillary industries within the region.

Speaking on behalf of the host community, the Olota of Ota expressed gratitude to the company for choosing Ota as the site for the expansion, noting that the development would bring long-term socio-economic benefits to the people.

Management of Sam Pharmaceuticals, in their welcome address, reiterated their commitment to quality, innovation, and affordability of medicines. They noted that the new plant is equipped with cutting-edge technology designed to meet global standards, positioning the company for international competitiveness.

The ceremony also showcased Nigeria’s growing strides in pharmaceutical advancement, including recent achievements such as WHO prequalification of locally produced medicines and ongoing efforts to commence Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) production within the country.
Stakeholders at the event collectively emphasized the need for sustained collaboration between government, industry, and research institutions to achieve the national target of increasing local pharmaceutical production to 70 percent by 2030.

The grand opening concluded with a guided tour of the facility, leaving attendees optimistic about a future where Nigeria not only meets its domestic healthcare needs but also becomes a key player in the global pharmaceutical value chain.

The gathering also provided an opportunity for the youths to pass a resounding vote of confidence in the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, CON, the Deputy Governor, Noimot Salako-Oyedele, FNSE, and Hon. The Igbesa Youth Assembly, Ogona Zone, successfully hosted its 3rd Ramadan Lecture, bringing together religious leaders, community stakeholders, and political figures in a remarkable show of unity and purpose.

The event, held on Tuesday, 17th March 2026 at Esa-Ogona, Igbesa, featured a Qur’an competition and Iftar, creating a spiritually enriching and socially engaging atmosphere for attendees. Although the Royal Host, Oba Abdulazeez Oluwatoyin Akinde FCA, was unavoidably absent, his support for the program was duly acknowledged. In attendance, however, was The Olodan of Odan, Oba Teslim Nosiru, whose presence added royal prestige to the occasion.

The lecture was delivered by El-Imam Taofeeq Harun Arogundade, who spoke extensively on the theme: “Unity Among Youths and Its Effect in Community Development.” The session emphasized the vital role young people play in fostering peace, progress, and sustainable development within their communities.

Also present was the President, Igbesa Youth Assembly, Comr. Mosur Oladipupo Ajayi, & Hon. Adijat Sumola, who served as the Chairperson of the Day, adding prestige and leadership to the occasion. The Spiritual Father of the Day, Fadilat Sheikh Muh Saheed Muh-Lawal, offered prayers and spiritual guidance throughout the event.

The Chairman of IYA Ogona Zone and Chief Host, Comr. Rauf Rasheed Aregbesola, warmly welcomed guests and highlighted the importance of collective responsibility in building a stronger and more harmonious society.

The theme of the lecture underscored that unity among youths is a powerful tool for transformation. When young people come together with a shared vision, they can drive meaningful change, promote peaceful coexistence, and contribute significantly to community growth. Disunity, on the other hand, weakens progress and hinders development. Therefore, fostering collaboration, mutual respect, and inclusiveness among youths remains essential for a thriving community.

In his closing remarks, the Chief Host, Comr. Rauf Rasheed Aregbesola, expressed profound appreciation to all dignitaries, guests, and participants for honoring the invitation and contributing to the success of the event. A large gathering of religious leaders, community stakeholders, political associates and well-wishers converged on Saturday, March 14, 2025, for the 4th Public Ramadan Lecture held at the residence of Alhaji Ajayi Kabiru Olatunbosun in Igbesa.

The annual lecture, organized in memory of Alhaji Hussein Ajayi and Alhaja Rashidat Adunola Ajayi, also marked the birthday anniversary celebration of Alhaji Ajayi Kabiru Olatunbosun. The event served as a moment of spiritual reflection, community dialogue and renewed commitment to unity.

Dignitaries present at the lecture includes the Olodan of Odan, Oba Engr Teslim Nosiru , the Member of the Ogun State House of Assembly representing Ado-Odo/Igbesa State Constituency, Hon. Musefiu Lamidi, respected community leaders, Chief M.A Olagbaye, Chief M.A Akinogun, and other prominent traditional, religious and political figures from across the constituency.

The lecture featured renowned Islamic scholars including Fadilat Sheikh Muh’saheed Muh’awal, the Grand Chief Imam of Igbesa Land, and Fadilat Sheikh Muh’tohir Yusuf Ojoare (Cessey), who delivered insightful messages centered on the theme: “Navigating Fitna: Unity in Times of Political Polarization.”

In his lecture, Sheikh Muh’tohir Yusuf emphasized the importance of maintaining unity, peace and moral discipline in society, especially during periods of political tension. He noted that political differences should never lead to division within communities, families or religious groups.

According to the cleric, Islam strongly encourages peaceful coexistence, tolerance and dialogue. He cautioned against allowing political interests to create hostility among people who share common values and community ties.

Sheikh Muh’saheed Muh’awal also reminded the audience that Ramadan is a period for reflection, patience and self-purification, urging leaders and citizens alike to promote harmony and responsible leadership for the development of society.

Participants at the event commended the convener, Alhaji Ajayi Kabiru Olatunbosun, for sustaining the Ramadan lecture initiative, describing it as a platform that continues to foster moral guidance, unity and community engagement.
