I made starch for the first time lastweek.

Its not bad at all with Banga soup....

But the combo ehn.... is it not high in calories? Just wondering.....

And some people can't go a day without eating it...

THINGS I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT COOKING BANGA SOUP

Before, I thought when you make banga soup, you need to cook till it thickens like our pepper amd tomato soup, the first time I made this soup I cooked for a looooong time, till it was thick, before taking it off the heat, the next day, it was so thick I would had to add water to loosen it up.

In fact, I heard from my banga vendor that it replaces tomatoes.....

I got to know that you cook till the oil floats, and it doesn't really take as long as I thought.

Also, I used to think you can cook banga soup with only fresh catfish (this was what I saw in most videos online then).. and because I'm not really a catfish fan, I didn't cook it often.

I also didn't know you can cook banga without the banga spice and just enjoy with vegetables like bitterleaf, scent leaf and so on

I have made banga without the banga spices and it was really nice too.
