ALHAMDULILLAH: Gembu my country home, equally the headquarter of Sardauna LGA Taraba has been hit by the first rainfall of the year, 2023.

From what I have compiled it's the first part of the northern region to experience a downpour from the impending rainy season of the year 2023.

For those that don't know Gembu is the headquarter of Sardauna LGA which encompasses the mountainous Mambilla plateau.

The climate of the Mambilla plateau is comparatively cold. Daytime temperatures hardly ever exceed 25 °C (77.0 °F) making it the coolest region in Nigeria. Strong winds prevail during the daytime as a result of its high elevation, the plateau experiences temperate weather conditions and is most conducive in Nigeria.

My prayers: May the rainy season be beneficial to our farmers, animals, the entire ecosystem, and the populace of the plateau, Taraba, and Nigeria at large.

The Central Bank of Nigeria has finally extended the deadline for the exchange of old naira notes by 10 days.

In a press statement issued on Sunday, Godwin Emefiele, the CBN governor, said the new deadline is February 10, 2023.

Seven (7)/years after, Gov. Samuel Ortom the warrior against Fulani herdsmen commissioned a gate at Mt. St. Michael's Secondary school, Aliade without;

1. A perimeter fence around the school and
2. Without an access road for the school.

Congratulations to all Benue indigenes at least you have been secured against the marauding Fulani herdsmedia with this physical gate and a spiritual fence.

The commissioning of this magnificent gate and a spiritual fence followed after empowering Benue youths with wheelbarrows in his first tenure as the elected governor of the state.
