“To succeed in Nollywood is hard, but you need to be patient and work hard. When I started, I was given roles where I barely spoke. Sometimes, I would just be standing in the background or running small errands on set.

I remember one of my first movies where I was cast as a maid, but the only thing I did throughout the movie was serve food and clean the tables without a single line.

At some point, I thought of quitting to sell clothes (okrika) in Onitsha, which I actually started, but I later returned to Nollywood before acting Nkoli Nwa Nsukka, which became my breakthrough.
