Things to do in preparation for starting a career in Copywriting
Yesterday, we discussed 3 out of 6 things you should get sorted first or put in place as you start your writing career.
Let's have the last 3 now.
📌 Practice. Now that you've been trained, put what you've learned to practice. Apply what you learned daily. It is in much practice, masters are built.
📌 Apply for Voluntary works and Internship: Yes, you have a skill now, but you don't have experience. Volunteer! This is how to get hands-on experience and more indepth knowledge of your industry. Ensure you are at your best service there. You never can tell if the business or brand you're volunteering for will approve of you and retain you as their full time staff.
📌 Make use of Social media: I always say this. No one knows "the best skilled" kept secret. You must learn to stop moving in silence about the talents, skills and gifts you have. Because, how will people know to collaborate with you or recommend what you do, if you don't talk about it. Plus, the world is going digital. So, once in a while try to dey show up and update your audience about what's up with you.
