Lagos, California Forge Historic Sister-State Partnership 🇳🇬🤝🇺🇸

Lagos State Government has formalised a sister-state relationship with the California State Assembly, United States, through Assembly Concurrent Resolution 129 (ACR 129).

Sponsored by Assemblymember Matt Haney and unveiled at the California–Africa Climate and Economic Forum 2026, this milestone agreement strengthens diplomatic and economic ties while opening new pathways for collaboration in climate resilience, infrastructure, innovation, and sustainable development.
