Nigeria’s Christiana Amaka Paul has finished as the fourth-best scorer at the 2026 Africa Women’s Volleyball Championship, recording 94 points and 76 successful attacks.

Despite Nigeria’s title defence ending in the Round of 16 against hosts Kenya, Amaka says the support from her coaches and teammates gave her the confidence to keep fighting.

VIDEO: POWER WORKER ELECTROCUTED, LEFT HANGING FROM HIGH-TENSION LINE IN LAGOS

A power technician narrowly escaped death after being electrocuted and knocked unconscious while working on an overhead high-tension line in Gbagada, Lagos.

With his safety harness stopping him from falling, a fellow technician had to climb up and rescue him from the live-line area as worried residents watched and prayed below.

He was eventually brought down and rushed to hospital for treatment.
