It Takes Insanity To Say Christians Are Subordinate To Another Religion In Nigeria,’ Pastor Enenche Hits Back At Sheikh Jingir

senior Pastor of Dunamis International Christian Centre, Paul Enenche, has strongly criticised Islamic cleric Sheikh Sona Jingir over comments reportedly suggesting that Christians are subordinate to Muslims in Nigeria.

Enenche, who spoke during a church service on Sunday, described such a position as evidence of “insanity” or “mental dementia”, insisting that Christianity could not be regarded as a secondary religion in Nigeria.

Sheik Jingir had urged Muslims to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and support Muslim-Muslim tickets in future elections, arguing that such political support would demonstrate to what he referred to as “the infidels” that Muslims constituted the majority.

The pastor warned against attempts by religious or political groups to diminish the status of Christianity and other religions in the country.

A Muslim imam from Northern Nigeria has allegedly made a controversial statement opposing the election of a Christian as President of Nigeria.

In his words, he allegedly said:

“Instead of allowing a Nigerian Christian, an infidel, arne, and kafir to become President of Nigeria again, it is better that we Muslims eat grass than vote for a Christian.

“Our aim is to Islamise Nigeria and make Christians and infidels our slaves.”

This afternoon, some angry youths in Dandagoro, Katsina metropolis confronted Hausa actor Musa Mai Sana’a at the “Welcome to Katsina” gate after he arrived and began promoting Bola Tinubu.

The youths warned him to come down, saying, “This is not a place to campaign for Bola.” Tension quickly rose, with some of them attempting to beat him, but security personnel intervened and got him out safely.

Musa reportedly had to flee the scene, leaving his cap behind.

It is painful to see political disagreements getting to this level. We can reject a politician or his message at the polling units without attacking his people.
