Shadows of Defiance
In Warsaw's streets, a ghetto stood tall,
A prison walled, where hope would soon fall.
1940-1943, a time of great strife,
The N**i regime, a brutal, cruel life.

The ghetto's walls, a symbol of despair,
A place where dreams were crushed, and souls impaired.
But amidst the rubble, a spark remained,
A flame of resistance, a spirit sustained.

The Jewish fighters, with hearts ablaze,
Organized, united, in a final phase.
With smuggled guns, and homemade bombs,
They faced the N**is, in a desperate bond.

April 19, 1943, the uprising's might,
A courageous stand, against the oppressor's light.
The streets erupted, in a fierce battle cry,
The fighters' determination, would not die.

Mordechai Anielewicz, a leader true,
Led the charge, with a heart anew.
The ghetto burned, the streets did bleed,
But still they fought, with every breath they need.

Though outnumbered, outgunned, and worn,
Their spirit unbroken, their will unborn.
The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, a testament stands,
A chapter of bravery, in the face of brutal hands.

Their legacy lives, a beacon of hope,
A reminder of courage, in the darkest scope.
The fighters' story, forever told,
A tribute to their hearts, that never grew old.
