CANDIDATES CAN NOW PRINT THEIR 2026 MOP-UP UTME EXAMINATION SLIPS

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) wishes to inform all candidates scheduled to participate in the 2026 Mop-Up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), slated for Saturday, 13th June 2026, that they can now print their examination notification slips.
The notification slip contains vital information, including the candidate's examination centre, date, time, and other important instructions necessary for a seamless examination exercise.
It would be recalled that the Board scheduled the Mop-Up UTME for candidates who were unable to sit for their earlier examinations due to technical challenges, as well as those whose biometric verification could not be successfully completed during the main exercise.
Eligible candidates are advised to visit the Board's website and click on "Print 2026 Mop-Up UTME Slip" to access and print their slips.
Candidates are strongly advised to print their slips well ahead of the examination date and familiarise themselves with their examination centres to avoid last-minute difficulties.
The Board wishes to emphasise that this Mop-Up Examination represents the final opportunity for eligible candidates to sit the 2026 UTME. No further examination will be conducted after this exercise.
All candidates are therefore urged to take advantage of this opportunity and make the necessary preparations for the examination.

JAMB RELEASES 279 UTME RESULTS PREVIOUSLY HELD FOR INVESTIGATION

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released 279 results from those previously held for further investigation. This is in addition to the results earlier released by the Board.

The release follows ongoing investigations into cases of suspected examination malpractice. While some results have been outrightly cancelled where evidence of malpractice was established, others have been released where the Board found no prima facie case against the affected candidates.

Results from centres where the Board’s live monitoring team observed suspicious activities, or where adverse reports were received, remain withheld pending further investigation. Where sufficient evidence of culpability is established, such results will be cancelled.

Candidates whose results have not yet been released are advised to check their status by sending UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used for registration to view their released results.

Good day, UTME candidates. Tomorrow, Monday, 11th May, is a significant day as the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) will hold its 2026 Policy Meeting, to be chaired by the Honourable Minister of Education.
At the meeting, guidelines for the 2026 admission exercise into all tertiary institutions in Nigeria will be considered and adopted, including the determination of the minimum tolerable scores for admissions.
This year’s meeting will also witness the participation of the Deputy Minister of Education of Sierra Leone, Mr Sarjoh Aziz Kamara, alongside two Vice-Chancellors from Sierra Leonean universities: Prof. Edwin Momoh, Vice-Chancellor of Ernest Bai Koroma University of Science and Technology, and Prof. Bashiru Koroma, Vice-Chancellor of Njala University. They are in Nigeria to understudy the nation’s centralised admission system as Sierra Leone plans to establish a body similar to JAMB to streamline its own admission process.
The delegation was today taken through the examination and admission processes at the Board’s headquarters in Bwari. During tomorrow’s Policy Meeting, they will also witness firsthand how critical stakeholders are actively carried along in the admission value chain.
The Sierra Leonean delegation expressed profound appreciation to the Board, noting that the increasing admission population in their country has posed serious challenges and that the Nigerian model offers practical solutions to issues they had long sought to address.
Indeed, one can only imagine what Nigeria’s admission system would have looked like without JAMB. Those clamouring for the scrapping of the Board may better appreciate its strategic importance should such a situation ever arise.
