Sitting for too long is called "the new smoking" because it can seriously harm your health.
Too much sitting slows blood flow, weakens muscles, and leads to weight gain, higher blood sugar, and fat buildup, increasing the risk of diabetes, heart disease, and even cancer.
It also causes back pain, poor posture, and weak muscles, especially in the legs and core.
Sitting too much can make you feel tired, lower your energy, and even affect your mood, leading to stress or anxiety.
