The video of demolition of houses in Oghede community in Edo State by the Nigerian Army will remind you of how the Nigerian State functions without law and order. If the people actually encroached on the Nigerian Army's Property as they claimed there should be a legal means of serving them eviction notice.
Well, some agencies and people are actually above the law. The sad situation of a country that prides itself as an African Giant.
This should sound as a warning to communities and traditional rulers across the state and beyond. Know the contents of the document you're signing on behalf of the community you're representing. Not every move that appears beautiful on the surface is targeted to develop your community, some are designed to bring people pain and agony. Lot's of land that are supposed to be used for developmental projects today are being occupied by oil Palm plantations and poultries with irregular sanitation exercises resulting in significant health threat to the local people.
There are farm farmlands where farms should be properly suited.
Some communities even allocate lands to factories that are into production of some items whose processes endanger the lives of the people but yet they're not aware.
Some allocate lands for illegal mining without considering the earthquake and other natural disasters that might occur as a result of that.
When the consequences will start unveiling itself, no agency will be coming to save you, not even the Federal or state agencies that were created to do so.
You will be homeless in the Lands.
