APC Primary: Oligbi-Edeko Emerges Consensus Candidate for Esan North-East Constituency II
The former Deputy Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Marie Omozele Oligbi-Edeko, has emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for Esan North-East Constituency II ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Oligbi-Edeko, who currently represents the constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly, emerged as the party’s consensus candidate in line with the APC electoral process. She secured a total of 1,549 votes to clinch the party’s ticket.
The result was officially confirmed in Uromi, the administrative headquarters of Esan North-East Local Government Area of Edo State.
Speaking after the victory, Oligbi-Edeko expressed gratitude to party leaders, supporters, and constituents for their confidence and unwavering support. She also appreciated Monday Okpebholo for his encouragement and support throughout the process.
“I assure everyone that nobody will be left behind. I dedicate this victory to God Almighty and promise greater development for the people of Esan North-East Constituency II,” she stated.
