Joyce checked social media and saw her name all over the blogs on all social media platform. She was everywhere. Ijeoma EjikemeUwa. That was the name on everyone's mouth. That was the name of the main character of the movie.

About thirty minutes later she heard a knock on her door. She went and checked who was on the door and saw it was Kelvin. She opened the door and wanted closing it immediately Kelvin walked in.

Kelvin stopped her, wait Anna is also here and few seconds later Anna also came.

Congratulations on this big win. Anna said to Joyce and hugged her. You have a nice space here. Anna said to Joyce. Thank you. Joyce replied.

The truth is that few months ago Kelvin rented the apartment for Joyce because the place she was staying was a bit far from town and not that comfortable.

They were still discussing when Joyce got a call from the biggest podcast in the state, they said they wanted to have an interview with her.

The lead actress that Sharon called for the movie production finally showed up but she was already replaced with Joyce

Sharon was surprised when she realized that the Governor's son was the producer of the movie. She started apologizing for been late, but Kelvin already made up his mind.

Sharon got angry and started asking who is Joyce. You know this movie won't go far without me been the lead. You know it won't go far. The people need a known face. Sharon said. Take her away, Kelvin said and his bouncers took Sharon away.

They did a little bit of rehearsals. Before Joyce went to the hospital. She was really tired but she still went to see her mother.

How are you feeling mother? Joyce asked the mother. I'm feeling alright. How has school been? Her mother asked her. Mom I have graduated. Joyce said to the mother. Really? I'm Happy for you. The mother said.

Yes mom, I wanted to tell you but then I found out you were badly beāten. Do you know who did this to you? Joyce asked the mother.

What are you doing now that you are done with school? The mother tried to dodge from the question.

He ordered for a glass of drink. After Joyce served him, she went to attend to some group of boys who started touching her inappropriately.

Mario went to stop the boys but they kn0cked him out.

When Mario opened his eyes, he was at the hospital and Anna was seated right beside her.

He look around as if he was looking for someone. Are you okay? Anna asked Mario.

She isn't here? Mario asked. I'm here. Anna replied. I know but is Joyce alright? Mario asked.

You should be worried if you are alright or not, not thinking about that girl. Anna said.

I know, but I just want to make sure that those boys didn't hurt her. Mario said.

She is alright. Anna finally replied. Where is she? Mario asked. She's at home. Anna replied.

Two days later Mario was discharged from the hospital.

I don't want you to continue working in that bar again. I will get you a new job. Mario said

The guards immediately rushed him into his chamber and the herbalist was called to attend to the King.

The herbalist couldn't tell what was wrong with the King.

What is wrong with my son. Olamma asked the herbalist. My Queen this is spiritual. You should ask the Chief Priest. He will know what to do. The Herbalist said.

The Chief Priest was old and angry with the King's family.

They love themselves dearly. Uwakwe Please I would like you to help me get firewood from my farm. Amaka said to Uwa. And of course Uwakwe accepted. Amaka was his mother's friend.

But on getting to the farm, Amaka kn0cked Uwakwe off and he fell down unconscious.

When they got to the farm. Amaka kn0cked Uwakwe out. Dikeh was closeby watching. Immediately Uwakwe was knocked out, Dikeh came to carry him to the bush.

What next do we do? Dikeh asked Amaka. We will stay in this bush till night fall. Amaka said.

What if someone comes and see us here? Dikeh asked. No one will see us here, this place is a bush, even if someone sees us we will pretend to be fetching firewood.

But no one is coming here by this time. Ones it gets dark we will be out of this village. Amaka said.

The King's mother ride her Chariot to the Chief Priest Shrine. The Chief Priest was seated in his shrine apparently he was waiting for the King's mother.

Ochendu; Ogini (what is it?)? The King's mother. politely asked the Chief Priest.

Ebuka returned back from a little walk he took and saw his wife disturbed.

Nne what is it? Ebuka asked the Princess. Uwakwe has not yet returned since I sent him to the market. The Princess said.

You sent him to buy Okpa? Ebuka asked. Yes. The Princess replied. He is already back with the Okpa. Ebuka said. Then where did he go to? The Princess asked.

He said he was going to Mmeso's house. Ebuka said.

The Princess immediately started going to Mmeso's house.

Mmeso and her husband were outside when the Princess and her entire family arrived.

Nnem kedu? What is happening? Mmeso asked immediately she saw the Princess. Is Uwakwe here? The Princess asked Mmeso.

Uwakwe came to my house this evening but I left him with Iruoma to go meet mama Odinaka at her hut to get some herbs. Mmeso said. So you were not around when he left? The Princess asked. Noo, has he not returned home yet? Mmeso asked curiously.

Uwakwe has not returned home oo. He has not returned home. And it's dark already. The Princess cried out.

Iruoma!!! Mmeso called her daughter. Ma!!! Iruoma answered and came out.

Where did Uwakwe tell you he was going to? Mmeso asked her daughter.

He went home after staying with me. Iruoma lied.

Even after his mother warned him not to. Adanna is evil can't you see how evil she is? You must not marry that woman. The mother said to Obiora.

Mother I have always liked Adanna. Just that she was married to Uwa that was why I didn't ask her to be my wife. But now I am the King and has the power to do anything I wish to. Obiora said.

What do you all see in this maiden. My son, she is not fit to be your wife. She is even older than you. The Queen said. When does age start to matter mother? I have made my decision. I believe this was the reason father married her in the first place. I want her to bear my children. King Obiora said.

Mmeso got married to a famous garment maker in Achi village. The weave maker took very good care of her. She do come visit the Princess and the children.

The Princess also met a Man, Ebuka. A fearless hunter. They gave birth to a beautiful daughter Uju.

Abali has been constantly having similar dream since he turned 18.

He was always with a crown on his head crying holding his lifeless brother Uwakwe. Begging him to come back to life and a Kingdom burning.

Abali one day asked the mother ( Princess Olaedo) what the dream means.

Before mama died. She told Princess Olaedo that Abali was special.

He will save his people. Those were the last words of the old woman before she d!ed.

Eighteen years after Amaka left Amaudi village she was still unmarried. She was still lonely. She thought that leaving was the best thing for her, especially since the one person she loves in the whole world doesn't believe her. And doesn't see her.

She doesn't know what exactly she wants with life. So one-day as she was lonely again, she visited a shrine of a powerful chief priest.

He sat by the edge of their bed watching his wife toss and turn, her hands clutching her belly as if something inside was moving violently. “It’s hungry again,” she whispered in the dark. “It wants me to feed it.” He tried to calm her, saying it was just a dream, but when he reached to touch her stomach, something strange happened—something moved beneath her skin, not like a normal baby’s kick but a long, slithering motion, like the crawl of a snake.

Tunde jumped back, his heart pounding. “Moyo, what was that?” She turned to him slowly, tears streaming down her face. “I told you,” she whispered, “something inside me is not normal.”

I Married a Church Man, But Ran the First Night

Episode 1

Everyone kept saying I was lucky, marrying a church man.
I smiled… but I never knew I would run the very first night.

During courtship, he was always calm, always quoting Bible verses, always smiling.
He never raised his voice, not even once.
Maybe that’s why I never truly knew him.
I was too eager to marry the man everyone called a church man.

At the altar, he held my hands and whispered, “Our home will be built on prayers.”

Even at the reception, he paused halfway through his meal just to pray again.
And in that moment, I thought I had finally found peace.

But that peace didn’t last long.

That night, after the wedding, we arrived at his house, a quiet place at the end of the street. The moment he opened the door, I caught a strange scent in the air. It wasn’t perfume… it was something like burnt oil mixed with ashes.

“Don’t worry,” he said softly. “Just my midnight incense.”

Midnight incense?

I tried to smile, but my body felt uneasy. I brushed it off and followed him inside.

He led me to the bedroom. I was about to sit, but he raised his voice, “No! Hold on, there’s an order here.”

He walked straight to the wardrobe and stood still, whispering something I couldn’t hear. Five minutes passed… then twenty… then an hour.

“Honey,” I said quietly, “it’s getting late.”

He raised his hand without turning. “Don’t speak.”

My heart began to race. Then, through the window, I saw two men approaching the house.

“Are you expecting anyone?” I asked quickly.

He turned slowly toward me, without saying a word

Something inside me whispered, run.
I hesitated… until I heard a voice again: Run now.

As I turned to run, the front door opened and I froze
