Akwa Ibom State is a state in the South-South geopolitical zone of Nigeria. Created on September 23rd, 1987 by Gen. Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida from Cross River State.

Infrastructure: Akwa Ibom State is known for its top-notch physical infrastructure.

The Most Beautiful: Akwa Ibom state is one of the most beautiful states in Nigeria, a must-visit destination for nature lovers.

Good Food: This beautiful state is known for its mouth-watering delicacy. No one knows how to cook that delicious: Afere afang, Editan, Afia efere, Ekpang nkukwo, afere nkong, afere ndek iyak, atama, efere amongst others, other than her.

A land created by God out of greatness. A land that is breeding illustrious sons and daughters. A land that respects human dignity and labor. A land flowing with milk and honey. A land blessed with natural resources. A land one can call a home.

Let's Declare War!

It is time for us to kick against our comfort zone and declare war against; negative thoughts, fear, and self-doubt because they are potential destroyers.

We have to declare war against fear. Do you know that some people died out of fear and not because they are (were) under attack by any forces? Fear keeps man from maximizing his potential. God did not create us with fear neither did he give us the spirit of fear.

We were created to have dominion!

Can we have dominion when we are under the cage of self-doubt? Do you know that we often miss great opportunities because of self-doubt?

There is potential in us and the best way to help our potential come to manifestation is by declaring war against every negativity.

Our God is always there to help us; seek him and you will find him.

ARE YOU A READER? THIS IS FOR YOU!

Today, while going through a story shared by Sir, Chima; a line caught my attention and I began to think about my growing up as a teenager who loves to read.

Let me share the line that caught my attention first, then I will share my personal story with you.

" THE BOOKS YOU READ AND THE FRIENDS YOU KEEP'' will determine how your life will be in the next 5 years.

Some years back, I was known for reading anything printable. I don't care about who writes the book, who the message is for, and the impact those books could have in my life. All I cared about at that time was the number of books I could read in a month.

That didn't sit well with the people I grew up with. So, they will tell me the story of a man who ran mad because he read too many books. They were happy I didn't have a phone at the time.
I was often told that I read too much for a child my age.

Well, that was their way of telling me to be mindful of the books I read but they did not know the best way to communicate with me a point that I did not see.

My young mind could not comprehend whatever they were trying to tell me.

Reading was like a competition between me and some of my friends. Meaning, that I have to read for the record not minding if the book (s) has any value to add to my life.

Today, I have learned that it's not about how many books you have read but the value, each book gives.

Dear Reader,

Do you know that some books, just like a movie can be detrimental to your mental health and your spiritual life?

When choosing a book to read, be value-conscious. It's not about the number of books you read in a month.

Remember, you tend to become what you occasionally feed your mind with.

Check the current book you are reading now, and ask yourself if it's going toward the direction of your goal.

Be an intentional reader. You don't have to read because others are reading or because you want to be praised; that won't add any value to you.

Being intentional is the goal.
