MY EXPERIENCE ON TIKTOK LIVE TODAY 😂😂😩

Oh my God! This woman really came for me today o! 😂😂

Today, I was on my TikTok LIVE talking about the importance of music, why Christians should be careful about the songs they listen to, and why we should prioritize gospel music over secular songs.

I was speaking from my personal experience and sharing how my life changed when I gave my life to Christ a few years ago. I explained how I stopped listening to secular songs because I wanted my life and the things I listened to to please God.

Honestly, by the help of the Holy Spirit, I was flowing! 😂 It felt like I was speaking to people physically present with me. People were listening, and I believe some were genuinely blessed.

Suddenly, this woman came up and asked me, "You say you are born again? You claim to be a child of God, yet you are fixing eyelashes?"

Ah! 😂😂

My people, the matter changed from secular music to my eyelashes!

She went on and on about how Christians should not wear earrings, fix eyelashes, wear makeup, or wear trousers to church. According to her, all these things are sinful.

She explained that in the church where she previously worshipped, they didn't wear earrings or eyelashes or use makeup. She now attends another church where she is married, but she still believes these things are wrong.

Honestly, I don't blame her. That is what she believes, and I respect the fact that she has her convictions. But does that mean everyone who doesn't share the same convictions is a sinner?

I tried to explain my point to her.

I said, "Ma, let me ask you a question. If I fix my eyelashes, does that automatically mean I am living in sin? What if someone doesn't wear earrings or fix eyelashes but is committing fornication, lying, stealing, listening to ungodly music, drinking alcohol, or living in other forms of sin? Shouldn't we also be concerned about the condition of the heart and how a person lives before God?"

Please, don't misunderstand me. I am not saying that we should deliberately live in sin because we dress well. Neither am I saying that outward appearance is the only thing that matters.

I am simply saying that we should be careful not to make our personal convictions the standard by which we judge every other Christian.

I also reminded her of Queen Esther and how she underwent preparations before appearing before the king. I mentioned Rebekah and the ornaments given to her in Genesis 24.

These are passages worth examining when discussing adornment in the Bible. We must study the Scriptures carefully rather than condemn people based solely on our personal opinions.

For me, when I want to appear before my King, I want to be presentable. I want to look good, dress decently, and carry myself well. When I go to church, I do my makeup, fix my eyelashes, and make myself presentable.

But does that mean I don't love Jesus? Does that mean I am not born again?

I believe we should be careful about making outward appearance the only measure of a person's relationship with God.

And please, I am not saying that holiness doesn't matter. Holiness matters! Righteousness matters! Purity matters! Our conduct matters! We must live lives that please God.

But we must also learn to distinguish between what the Bible clearly teaches and what our individual church doctrines teach.

If your church teaches you not to wear earrings, makeup, or eyelashes, and you are convinced of that position, fine. Live according to your convictions. But please, don't use those convictions to condemn another person who understands the matter differently.

At some point, this woman was really coming for me! 😂😂😂

I was like, "Ma, ah! We came here to talk about secular music. How did my eyelashes become the topic of discussion?" 😂😂

Another person even asked why we were fighting. I had to explain that we weren't fighting; we were simply expressing our different beliefs.

But do you know what I did eventually?

I allowed her to win the argument! 😂😂😂

I said, "Okay, ma, no problem. You have won. You have won!"

Because, honestly, if you want to argue with me about the Bible, you might actually win! 😂😂😂

Not because I don't know what I believe, but because I am not interested in spending my time arguing with people.

I would rather preach Jesus than spend my entire day arguing about eyelashes! 😂❤️

I would rather tell someone about salvation than spend hours trying to prove that I am right.

I would rather invite someone to church than continue an argument that is going nowhere.

So I told her, "Ma, there is no problem. I have heard what you said. Please, come to church!"

Because, at the end of the day, my desire is not to win arguments. My desire is to see people come to Christ, grow in the knowledge of Him, and live lives that please Him.

I don't want people to leave my LIVE remembering my eyelashes. I want them to remember Jesus!

I don't want people to leave my LIVE thinking about my makeup. I want them to think about their relationship with God!

I don't want to spend my time fighting over outward appearance when there are souls that need to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ.

JESUS LOVES YOU! JESUS SAVES! AND JESUS IS COMING AGAIN!

That is the message I want to preach.

STOP STAYING AWAY FROM CHURCH!

Don’t join the world and conclude that the church is all about money.

You don’t even have money, yet you are already convinced that the church wants to collect your money! 😂

Be wise.

The church has never claimed to be a gathering of perfect people. The Bible never said the church is perfect.

The church is like a hospital. A hospital is filled with sick people—people battling different conditions, weaknesses, wounds and struggles. That is why they are there: to receive help and healing.

In the same way, people come to church because they need God. Some are broken. Some are struggling. Some are confused. Some are wounded. Some are still learning. Some are being transformed.

So don’t stay away from the church because you see imperfect people there.

Go to church. Hear the Word. Grow. Serve God. Build your faith.

Don’t let the mistakes of some people keep you away from the presence of God.

Get ready. See you in church tomorrow!

LIVING A RIGHTEOUS LIFE IS WORK.

Let me tell you something we don't talk about enough.

Living for God is work.

Yes, salvation is by grace.
We are saved by faith, not by our works.

But after you are saved, living a life that pleases God will require your cooperation.

It will require you to say NO when your flesh is screaming YES.

It will require you to walk away from what everybody else is doing.

It will require you to forgive when you feel justified to hold a grudge.

It will require you to control your tongue when you have every opportunity to respond.

It will require you to close that door.

Delete that number.

Leave that relationship.

Turn off that thing.

Stop going to that place.

Stop entertaining that thought.

Because righteousness is not just what you do when people are watching.

Righteousness is who you choose to be when nobody is watching.

There are battles nobody will see.

There are temptations you will have to overcome privately.

There are desires you will have to put under the authority of God's Word.

There will be days you don't feel like praying.

Days you don't feel like reading your Bible.

Days your flesh wants its way.

But you must learn to tell your flesh:

"You are not my master. Jesus is my Lord."

The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 9:27,
"But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection..."

That means there is a discipline to walking with God.

You cannot feed your flesh all day and expect your spirit to dominate at night.

You cannot continually expose yourself to what is sinful and expect holiness to become effortless.

What you constantly feed will eventually become stronger.

Child of God, don't only ask God to remove temptation.

Ask God to give you the strength to resist it.

Don't only pray, "Lord, make me holy."

Also be willing to walk away from what is making holiness difficult for you.

Because sometimes the miracle is not that God removes the temptation.

Sometimes the miracle is that you finally become strong enough to say NO.

Righteousness will cost you friendships.

It may cost you popularity.

It may cost you opportunities.

It may cost you comfort.

But whatever righteousness costs you on earth, sin will cost you far more.

Don't play with your soul.

Don't become so comfortable with sin that conviction no longer moves you.

Don't keep saying, "God understands."

Yes, God understands your weakness.

But grace was never given to make you comfortable in sin.

Grace came to teach you to deny ungodliness.

You are not trying to impress people.

You are preparing yourself to stand before Christ.

So fight.

Pray.

Study the Word.

Watch your company.

Guard your heart.

Run from sin.

Repent quickly.

And keep walking.

Because living a righteous life is work.

But it is a work worth doing.

One day, the struggle will be over.

One day, the tears will be over.

One day, we will stand before the One we lived for.

And on that day, may we not discover that we gained the whole world but lost our souls.

Choose righteousness.
Choose holiness.
Choose Christ.
Even when it costs you.

10 REASONS WHY A BELIEVER SHOULD NEVER LISTEN TO SECULAR SONGS

1. They are associated with the “songs of fools.”
Solomon said, “It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools.” — Ecclesiastes 7:5

2. They often promote sexual immorality.
Many celebrate fornication, lust, prostitution and immoral relationships. But Scripture says to think on things that are pure and of good report. — Philippians 4:8

3. They often glorify violence, drugs and destructive lifestyles.
What repeatedly enters your heart and mind can influence what you normalize.

4. They can promote greed, gambling and materialism.
The believer is called to pursue godliness, not the love of money and worldly riches. — 1 Timothy 6:9–10

5. Ask yourself: Can I sing this before God?
“If then ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” — 1 Corinthians 10:31

6. Not every song agrees with the values of Christ.
The fact that a song is popular, catchy or well-produced does not mean its message is spiritually beneficial.

7. What you repeatedly listen to shapes your thoughts.
“Evil communications corrupt good manners.” — 1 Corinthians 15:33

8. Secular music does not proclaim the Gospel.
The believer should fill his heart with songs that magnify Christ, strengthen faith and communicate truth. — Colossians 3:16

9. Music should lead your heart toward God, not away from Him.
Ask yourself: Does this song help me love Jesus, pursue holiness and desire the things of God?

10. Your salvation should change your entertainment choices.
“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” — 1 Corinthians 10:31

Not everything you can listen to is something you should listen to.
Guard your heart. Guard your ears. Guard your spirit.

POVERTY CAN MAKE MONEY LOOK LIKE THE RIGHT MAN.

Poverty has made a lot of women believe that a man with money is automatically the right man to marry.

Because you have suffered, you see his money and think, “Finally, I have found security.”

But sis, money is not character.

A man can have money and still give you a life of tears.

He can build you a beautiful house and still destroy your peace.

He can pay your bills and still disrespect you.

So don't only ask, “How much does he have?”

Ask, “Who is he?”

Does he fear God?
Does he respect you?
Does he have integrity?
Can he control his anger?
Does he have vision and responsibility?

Don't let poverty make you desperate enough to marry a man simply because he can afford you.

You are not looking for a man to rescue you from poverty. You are looking for a man whose character, values, and vision are worthy of building a life with.

Heal. Build yourself. Become financially responsible. And when love comes, choose with wisdom—not desperation.

Never let what a man can buy for you make you ignore what being with him can cost you.
