August 19th is set aside to celebrate the art, craft, science and history of photography tagged “World Photography Day”.Last year, Angel Foundation, an NGO which is poised at giving back and educating the public organized a photography competition tagged “ZOOM” which featured Akwa Ibom Photographers and Cinematographers. We also took them on an excursion to some tourist sites in the state.
This year, we intend to make it bigger by involving all forms of Arts in Akwa Ibom State in an exhibition and seminar tagged “Photography, Art and Tourism in the new Akwa Ibom”.
The event is slated for September 8, 2023 and it will feature young creative artists exhibiting their art for auction/sales and a seminar by seasoned professionals.

Day one at the photography competition “100 Unseen Photographs” by ANGEL FOUNDATION.We started off yesterday with a courtesy call to the Photographers and Cinematographers Guild AKS, then a tour to Oron Musuem to flag off the competition but we stopped first for an official visit with the chairman of Oron LGA.
We later moved to the Amalgamation House, Bridge of no return, slave house and Lord Luggard’s house all in Ikot Abasi. Our Team and contestants went to “Uta Ewa” at Ikot Abasi for a boat cruise to cool off after a tight and competitive contest.
