*Hudson Taylor grew up in a Christian home, but when at age 15 he worked in a bank, his skeptical fellow clerks mocked his religion as 'old fashion'. His Christian joy crashed, and he began to desire worldly vanity.*

*His younger sister Amelia, began to pray three times daily for his restoration. His mother was also crying to God for him, until she was tired one afternoon following hours of intercession, she heard an inner spirit witness that her prayer was answered.*

*That same afternoon, Hudson was about seventy miles away searching for a book to read. He got a pamphlet entitled, _"The Finished Work of Christ"._ He prayed for salvation, and later became a successful missionary in China.*

*In Ezekiel's days, there was rebellion, violation of God's law, profanity, oppression, violence, blood shedding, and idolatrous practices in the nation of Israel. God was searching for someone to stand like Moses, to call out for urgent decision before the wrath of God fell on them. God is also seeking intercessors for our nation today. Will you go?*

*Our text underscores the significance of freedom in the life of any man. A man who is denied of freedom is basically unable to engage in certain things.*

*Roger R. Nicole, author and theologian, defines freedom as, "The ability to fulfill one's destiny, to function in terms of one's ultimate goal." Freedom, when gotten, brings happiness, sense of worth, creativity, ease of doing things, etc. Jesus is the only source of our true freedom.*

*Sin brings a youth into bo***ge and eternal destruction. The mastermind behind sin is Satan. Sin is the root cause of sexual perversion, youthful lust, sickness, mental and spiritual slavery, and drug addiction.*

*You can be free from sin and all kinds of slavery through the sacrifice of Jesus, the Son of God. Christ has the power to break every chain of sin. All you need to do is to acknowledge that you need freedom.*

*Accept the sacrifice of Christ for your freedom. Walk and live in the reality of the freedom in Christ through obedience to His word.*

📖``` MEMORY VERSE:``` _*"And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him" (JAMES 5:15).*_

*Glory, a student in a junior class, suddenly developed a heart attack that held her breath during break time, her friends ran quickly to the sick bay to report. Soon, the news got to her class and everyone was afraid about her situation.*

*One of her friends, Jessica, also heard and ran to the scene. While everyone was afraid, Jessica just remembered one thing: Prayer! While the nurse in the sick bay was rushing for the school driver, Jessica told some of her friends to hold hands together around Glory so that they could pray for her.*

*As Jessica and her friends started praying in the name of Jesus, Glory's breath began to gradually return, and everyone could see changes. Before the nurse and the driver came, Glory was already seated in a calm position and was fine.*

*Glory was later taken to hospital that day by her parents, and she returned to school the next day, hale and hearty. The prayer of faith offered by her Christian friends healed her. Believe, pray and gain victory.*

Her wonderful ministration today caught the eye of the National Overseer (Pastor Dr E.K Tumsiah ), who has awarded her a full-fledged scholarship from her current class 6 till she becomes a trained architect.

Today in History

On this day, April 5th, 1964, Pastor W.F. Kumuyi said yes to Jesus.
At just 23 years old, on a quiet Sunday, he surrendered his heart to Christ and became born again, a decision that transformed his life forever.

That singular act of surrender became the seed that grew into the global ministry we now know as Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM), a movement fueled by holiness, truth, and unwavering dedication to the Gospel.

61 years of unwavering commitment.
61 years of proclaiming holiness.
61 years of unshakable conviction.
61 years of faithful service to Jesus.

Today, we celebrate a colossus in the kingdom, God’s battle axe, and a global evangelist — Pastor W.F. Kumuyi.

But this isn't just history, it can be your beginning too.
