Today, it was my pleasure to attend the Governor’s Consultation Meeting in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area, convened in line with the directive of His Excellency, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno.

The meeting was a clear demonstration of the Governor’s commitment to inclusive governance, stakeholder engagement, and the unity of our great party, the APC, across Akwa Ibom State. It provided a platform for open dialogue on the direction of our state and the need for continuity in leadership that delivers results for the people.

On this note, I respectfully call on all my supporters across the 12 Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom South Senatorial District to rally behind His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, for his re-election bid in 2027. His leadership has brought stability, development, and a renewed sense of purpose to Akwa Ibom, and he deserves our full support to consolidate these gains.

I also call on you to stand firmly with the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for a second term in office. President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is laying the foundation for national economic recovery, security, and infrastructural growth, and Akwa Ibom South must align with this vision at the center.

In the same spirit, I humbly call on all my supporters and loyal members of the APC in Akwa Ibom South Senatorial District to come out en masse on Monday 18th May, 2026 to nominate me as the party’s candidate to represent Akwa Ibom South (Eket) Senatorial District in 2027.

My commitment remains to provide purposeful, people-centered representation that prioritizes empowerment, accountability, and the development of our communities. With your support, we will restore the voice and dignity of Eket Senatorial District at the National Assembly.

Together, with President Tinubu at the federal level, Governor Umo Eno in Akwa Ibom State, and a new voice for Akwa Ibom South, Eket Senatorial District shall be great again.

LEADERSHIP BEYOND PHOTO OPS: EKET YOUTHS AND WOMEN RALLY BEHIND HON. EKANEM BROWN

By Ekomobong James

In politics, the true measure of leadership is not found in backroom endorsements or the exchange of money among a select few stakeholders, it is reflected in the genuine enthusiasm of the people.

This distinction was clearly evident during the recent nomination form endorsement exercise for aspirants in the Akwa Ibom South (Eket) Senatorial District. Images and videos circulating online revealed a striking contrast between organic support and carefully staged acceptance. While some aspirants relied on closed-door approvals, Hon. Ekanem Brown was welcomed by a spontaneous outpouring of support from youths, women, and community stakeholders across the district.

Observers note that the energy and enthusiasm of the crowd signal growing confidence in Hon. Brown’s vision to redefine the political landscape ahead of the 2027 general elections. For many, his candidacy represents an opportunity to move beyond years of underwhelming representation and deeply entrenched political structures.

Political analysts have described Hon. Brown as a “new-breed” politician, pointing to his performance during his tenure as Executive Chairman of Mkpat Enin Local Government Area. Despite limited resources, he delivered measurable economic impact. His background in business has further strengthened his appeal, with supporters highlighting his proven ability to build systems and achieve results beyond the political arena.

At various engagements, Hon. Brown has consistently emphasized his commitment to people-centered representation. “I will be a listening representative,” he assured constituents. “I will act on your priorities; but you must tell me what matters most. I will provide yearly briefings on my activities and leverage my national connections to attract more federal projects to Eket Senatorial District.”

This message has resonated strongly with voters who have long decried absentee leadership and a lack of accountability among elected officials.

As the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries draw closer, many across the district believe Hon. Brown stands out as the aspirant capable of restoring trust between the electorate and their representative in the Red Chamber.

For the people of Akwa Ibom South, the message is unmistakable: this time, they demand representation that reflects their voices, not just their votes.

2027: EKET SENATORIAL DISTRICT AT A DEFINING CROSSROADS — WHY HON. EKANEM BROWN STANDS OUT

By Ekomobong James

As 2027 approaches, Akwa Ibom South (Eket) Senatorial District finds itself at a defining crossroads; one that calls for thoughtful reflection and a renewed commitment to progress.

Over time, the people of the district have shown resilience and hope, consistently looking forward to leadership that translates promises into visible impact. Today, there is a growing call for representation that is more present, more responsive, and more connected to the everyday realities of the people.

The question is no longer just about leadership; it is about EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP. Leadership that prioritizes results, fosters inclusion, and ensures that the district remains visible and competitive in national development conversations.

It is within this context that many stakeholders and party faithful continue to highlight one name; Hon. Ekanem Brown .

His tenure as former Executive Chairman of Mkpat Enin Local Government Area provides a practical example of purposeful governance. Despite limited resources, he initiated policies and projects that stimulated local economic activity and strengthened internally generated revenue.

By encouraging productivity and supporting grassroots enterprise, he helped create opportunities for traders, farmers, and small business owners; demonstrating that impactful leadership is driven more by vision and commitment than by resources alone.

Central to his leadership style is a clear philosophy: “Putting the People First.”
For many, this was not just a slogan but a lived experience; defined by accessibility, open communication, and a consistent focus on community needs.

As the APC prepares for its 2026 senatorial primaries, the decision ahead presents an opportunity to consolidate on progress and embrace a leadership approach that is inclusive, accountable, and forward-looking.

Eket Senatorial District deserves a representative who will listen attentively, act decisively, and remain connected to the people at all times.

Hon. Ekanem Brown represents that possibility.

The moment calls for clarity.
The future calls for action.

Support Hon. Ekanem Brown For a Stronger, More Progressive Eket Senatorial District.
