A STITCH IN TIME SERVES NINE.

I want to join my voice and others to condemn the recently observed Signing Out parade by SS3 students in Public Schools

The need to halt it and instill discipline and check into the school system.

Sir, the pictures flying everywhere on social media platforms doesn’t speak good about our academic system.

What are they singing off
What are they celebrating.

Is the signing the touching of breast on cameras and walking around naked.

When did our academic system in Secondary School degenerated into this absurdity and shameful behaviors

I finished Secondary in 1989. From then till last year that my twin Sons finished their SS3, I never witnessed such rascality.

Let the government act swiftly please.

Akwa Ibom has always been known as a state of academic excellence, propriety and decorum.

We expect them to flood SSCE results with breaking records and UME results with landmark cut off points

State Secondary School boards, State Technical Education Board and Monitoring Teams should please address the anomaly immediately.

This rascality must not be tolerated and allowed to continue

Parents too and Churches should help the society please

A senseless thief
Man Steals Phone, Uses It to Update Facebook Profile Picture

A suspected phone thief may have made one of the most unusual mistakes after allegedly stealing a mobile phone and then using the device to snap a selfie and upload it to the owner's Facebook account.

The victim, who raised the alarm on social media, said the phone was stolen while he was alighting from a taxi on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. To his surprise, the suspect reportedly used the stolen phone to take his own photograph and posted it directly on the victim's Facebook timeline.

The owner has called on members of the public to help identify the suspect and report him to the nearest police station.

Another 50 year-old man, Ime Edet Akpan has been sentenced to 21 years in prison for ra**ng and impregnating a 14 year-old girl in the compound of his side chick in Nung Udoe, Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area of the State.

Akpan, a keke operator from Akamba Nsukara Offot in Uyo Local Government Area of the State, married with five child, went to visit his side chick and met her absence and decided to assault the minor while she was bathing.

“I held her and had unlawful carnal knowledge of her and there was nobody in the compound, now that she is pregnant, I will take care of her until she put to birth.” The convicted married man said.

Update!

The Biggest Natural Juice company in Burkina Faso DAFANI , is now operational . The factory was renovated and thousands of people employed to work there . Local farmers now sell fruits like Mangoes , water melon and bananas to the company .

Burkina Faso is increasing the consumption of healthy drinks and reducing the consumption of alcohol.

Moral lesson : It’s beautiful how this young country is producing most of the things they need now . With time they’ll get even better .
