This is one case many people do not want to say something about cos it involves VDM and a top ranking POLICE Officer

Emotions aside, let us look at this matter strictly from legal angle only.

what does the law say?
The Doctrine of Sub Judice
When a matter is pending before a competent court of law, the doctrine of sub judice applies. Under Nigerian law, public commentary or social media campaigns that prejudice, influence, or attempt to pre judge ongoing court proceedings are prohibited.
Running a parallel media trial while a matter is active in court can amount to Contempt of Court under Nigerian criminal and civil law.

As the matter is currently in court
VDM is still FREE for now cos the judge has not deemed VDM's comments an active threat to the trial's integrity.
Once the judge feels VDM action will affect the case, the judge will issue a bench warrant against VDM and VDM will be arrested.
Because, Running parallel media trial risk prejudicing the trial, influencing witnesses, or intimidating judicial officers and it can be prosecuted as contempt of court.
Leaving Emotions aside
VDM mentioned he has strong evidence against the AIG
For this reason, there is a need for VDM to go through the proper legal channel rather than expecting AIG Moshood to reply him online cos his office doesn't permit such.
The AIG himself said it already on TVC news that he would not join issues on social media with VDM or engage in media trials

Even the IG can not say anything on the matter if VDM doesn't submit a petition against the AIG cos their office doesn't allow them to engage in social media trial of their own officer without following the legal process.
Social media is not the court and the AIG is not answerable to anyone online and no matter how many times he calls out the AIG, i doubt if the AIG will answer him but VDM really want the AIG to answer him.

Especially the question of WHO IS BODE? 🀣🀣
VDM need to go through the legal route by filing his complaints and petition to Police Service Commission (PSC), the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC), or via a formal petition to the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) or through the court.

I believe so much that VDM lawyers advised him already but VDM no wan gree cos he believes those process may take time and manipulation may set in and that's the reason he is doing it the social media way.

But what ever it is
The law is not emotional
And

Ignorance of the law is no excuse

Nothing is Permanent In This World

I visited my 120-year-old grandmother and gave her some money when I was leaving and she told me she doesn't need money again.

That she can no longer buy or sell at her age, so I should give the money to the younger ones who need it.

I also have a former governor friend whom I worked with as a greenhorn journalist. He was governor from 1999-2007.
Not too long ago, I saw him.

After check-in, he was left seated by the corner of the Murtala Mohammed international airport awaiting his flight.

No one even recognized him again, not even passengers from the State where he was governor, and as I walked up to him and greeted him, then asked if he wanted any assistance, he stretched forth his trembling hands to hold me and simply said,

"Thank you for even recognizing me again. I just want your attention briefly my son. Sit down let me ask you something.

How is your Governor doing?"

I also have a retired Major General friend whom I served as a golf caddy at the NDA golf course in Kurmi Mashi, Kaduna.
He was so rich he built a beautiful house he was so proud of.

I visited him too not long ago and wanted us to climb to our favorite spot on his balcony upstairs.

He stared at me with a broad smile and said, "Jally, I can't remember the year I went up there. It is lizards and cobwebs and the likes that live there now.

Even the kids, when they come, they don't enjoy my company in the house any more than a few hours and they are gone.

I don't have the limbs to climb up there again and the cost of cleaning keeps getting higher."

I have seen a lot more things.

Keep that in mind always and know that no matter how appealing and tempting that thing may seem, our interest in it will diminish with time.

Our strength to consume or own it will vanish with time until everything is surely taken away from us or we are surely taken away from everything!
