Followed by “Needs”, ain’t you surprised that you open Facebook and the next thing you see is Facebook Ads showing ”A particular course from Udemy or Kitchen Utensil from Konga?
The development of the Demographics stage is gradually taking shape as AI is being deployed to study what your closest person likes.
Eg- If Didi Johnson likes wearing blue and going without heels, it’s possible that Glory Essang might likely be like love what Didi likes just because they are friends. [ Look alike]
Age is another factor
Let’s say- A laundry shop that operates just for techies 👩🏻💻.
I will be targeting people between the age of 20- 45yrs. For anyone above that, my Ads won’t appear for them.
Gender- I can choose to narrow it down to Male or Female or Both, depending on what I want.
Now, studies show that 89% percent of Clothes at the laundry shops are owned and given by Men.
I will now narrow the household income to $1600-$5000.
However, I am yet to figure out how they determine this part.
Education Background-
Probably you have updated your profile about your educational qualifications, there was a caught and you are.
Occupation, gradually the conversation about this part is fading because you don’t even need to update it again, your social media life is an example of what your occupation is.
If you write about investment always, the internet automatically picks it to be your interest and you can be targeted by the constant usage of Keywords.
Location is another convenient factor, however, recently, you can choose to target someone by just being at a particular location for 6months ago.
Eg
Edidiong Udobia was in California 6months ago and I am running a campaign targeting people that were in that location 6Months ago.
Our digital footprints are stronger.
Now, I have to think about the interest of the people I want.
What will possibly interest Watchout Naija that loves to talk about Law?
What can I sell to use a person?
If Obong Hanson loves everything I mentioned, what will I think about some of his behaviors?
What is his catch for fun?
Planning a customer journey and delivering excellent service is hard but the fun of doing it is worth the mental efforts.
When next you see Ads on your feeds, remember that you have what they are looking for.
