My passion to deliver on my campaign promises and promote entrepreneurship continues to drive our administration’s efforts. We remain committed to empowering businesses, supporting hard work, and building a thriving middle class.

As part of this commitment, I presented over 10,000 sets of equipment to 2,000 entrepreneurs under the ARISE Entrepreneurial Equipment Support Scheme—giving them the tools to expand their businesses and grow our local economy.

Additionally, we provided:
✅ 77 minibuses and 31 saloon cars to various beneficiaries
✅ N10 million to Edidiong Essien, who scored 8 As in the 2023 WASCE
✅ Full sponsorship for a master’s degree abroad for Dr. Joseph Akpan, who earned 10 distinctions at the University of Uyo
✅ N15 million to five Akwa Ibom students who won the Singapore-Bilateral International School Debate, plus N5 million for their teachers
✅ N5 million to Otobong Philip Udoh, a female tipper truck driver breaking barriers in a male-dominated field

These initiatives reflect our commitment to supporting enterprise, rewarding excellence, and uplifting lives. I encourage all beneficiaries to use these resources wisely and inspire others through their success.

Akwa Ibom is rising, and together, we will build a stronger, self-sustaining economy for our people.

AKWA IBOM STATE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL MEETING

The governor presided over the first session of the newly reconstituted Akwa Ibom State Executive Council following the swearing-in of new Commissioners and Special Advisers. I charged them to serve with dedication and commitment in their respective Ministries to further deepen the ARISE Agenda of our administration. Every Ministry, especially the new ones, must study the pillars of the ARISE Agenda, set clear targets, and align their plans with our vision for development and progress.

Key directives were issued to ensure effective governance and impact. The Ministry of Sports was tasked with developing school sports and establishing the sports academy we promised during our campaign. The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Ministry of Women Affairs must hit the ground running, ensuring accountability and effective mobilization of women, who remain the greatest cheerleaders of government. Additionally, we renamed the Ministry of Economic Development as the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning. We directed the posting of an additional Permanent Secretary to streamline budgeting and planning for greater efficiency.

We also reviewed 35 new projects set to be flagged off between now and May 29, 2025. To ensure their success, we will appoint Delivery Advisors with institutional knowledge to oversee ex*****on. Furthermore, we are set to flag off the Maritime Corridor in Oron this March, featuring shore protection projects, jetties, ferry terminals, warehouses, cold rooms, and recreational facilities to support maritime businesses. Together, we will continue to deliver on our promises and build a prosperous Akwa Ibom State.

GOV ENO AWARDS CONTRACT FOR IKOT NKAN ROAD

Following the donation of two Arise Compassionate Homes to two families in Ikot Nkang, ONNA Local Government Area, Gov. Umo Eno, has awarded contract for the construction of access road leading to the two homes, to Hensek Integrated Services Ltd.

The people of Oboyo Ikot Ita and the environs will have a new health centre that will cater to their needs and if necessary, refer them to the appropriate facility.

This is another promise fulfilled by the Governor Umo Eno-led adminsitration guided by the ARISE Agenda.

A'Ibom at 37: Gov Umo Eno leads Past, Present Leaders to Special Thanksgiving Service

As part of activities marking the 37th anniversary of State creation, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno today, led both past and present leaders across the State to a special thanksgiving service held at the International Christian Worship Center, Uyo.

The well attended service with the theme, "Peace within thy walls and Prosperity within thy palaces," had among the worshipers, the Senate President represented by the wife, Mrs Ekaette Unoma Akpabio, Deputy Governor, Senator Akon Eyakenyi, immediate past Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel and wife, Dr. Mrs Martha Udom Emmanuel, Father of modern Akwa Ibom, Architect Obong Victor Attah, Speaker of the State Assembly, Elder Udeme Otong, State Chief Judge, Justice Ekaette Obot, members of the State Executive Council, members of the National Assembly, Members of the State House of Assembly, Traditional fathers, religious leaders, socio-cultural groups, and many others.

GOV ENO ATTENDS PDP GUBER RALLY IN EDO STATE

His Excellency Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State, was among dignitaries who made a grand entry into Benin City ahead of the Edo State Governorship election.

Governor Eno was in the state to attend the Grand Finale Rally of the PDP in Oredo Local Government Area.
