GOV ENO, OTHER TOP OFFICIALS STORM CALABAR FOR MADAM ESIN’S FUNERAL
The age-long kindred spirit of the people of Akwa Ibom and Cross River States, was rekindled on Saturday, when Governor Umo Eno led his deputy, Senator Akon Eyakenyi, other top government officials, captains of industry, friends and well wishers to Calabar, the Cross River States capital.
The event held at the Calabar International Convention Centre, was the funeral ceremony of Madam Roselyn Modupe Esin, mother of Mr Orman Esin, delivery advisor in charge of transportation, to Governor Eno.
“We're here this afternoon to commiserate with Oman all of her children, all of her entire family From first to fourth generation too that mama was so blessed. So we are here to commiserate with you on her home going.
“It doesn't matter the age, no one wants to actually lose a loved one and so we know that you will feel the vacuum that she has left behind. But God is able, more than able, to provide succour and fill that vacuum. So we are trusting Him to do that for your family in Jesus Name.
”So on behalf of the government and people of Akwa Ibom State we are here to express our deepest condolences on the passing of our dear mother and matriarch , the late Madam Roseline Modupe Esin at the age of ninety.
“Like I said thet the demise of a loved one however old he/she may be evokes very painful and sad memories and we share in that grief at this moment of your bereavement.
”The delivery advisor Orman Esin, this brother of ours, very dogged , a man who is very resolute in the things he does, a man who delivers and will go to any length to deliver, and that's why you have seen all of us come here today to console with you and ask that you stay strong.
“You're not alone, let our presence strengthen you at this moment of grief because Mama inspired many to rise to their full potentials through her well-known spirit of altruism, love of God and faith in the inherent goodness of the human spirit.
