Amara noticed it on a Tuesday evening.

Not during the arguments.
Not during the apologies.
But in the silence that followed them.

Daniel still called. Still asked about her day. Still said, “I’m trying.” And for a long time, Amara believed him.

She chose her words carefully whenever she explained her pain, afraid honesty might push him away. He listened. He nodded. He promised to do better

Yet nothing really changed.😭

That night, sitting alone with her phone face down, Amara realized she was tired — not angry, not broken, just tired. Tired of explaining. Tired of waiting. Tired of hoping effort would someday become action.

She had been calling her silence understanding.
Calling her patience love.
Calling her endurance commitment.
