*Pay Per Click (PPC): The Digital Marketing Concept Everyone Should Know*
Don't just scroll through, am about to explain another key concept in digital marketing that you as a business person need to know.
Ever heard of Pay-per-click?
Oya nah, sit down am about to break it down for you.
PPC stand for ~ Pay-Per-Click.
PPC = You pay for action (click), not just for people seeing the advert.
So in PPC you only pay the advertiser when someone click on the advert. So if the is no click, the is no payment.

Imagine Mummy Praise sells hot puff-puff in Uyo.
Now, she wants more customers, so she tells one small boy:
“Stand near the road and call people to come and buy my puff-puff.”
*But there is one agreement*
Mummy Praise says:
“I will not pay you because people only looked at my puff-puff. I will only pay when somebody actually comes close because of your shout.”
Now see the difference:
100 people pass the road and look at the puff-puff — no payment yet.
50 people hear the noise but waka pass — still no payment.
But 10 people actually stop and come near to check the puff-puff because of the boy’s shouting — payment happens.
That is how Pay Per Click (PPC) works in digital marketing.
So in PPC you do not pay just because people saw the advert.
You only pay only when somebody actually clicks the advert to check the product.
In this example:
Mummy Praise puff-puff = product/business
Boy shouting = advert
People stopping to check = click
Money paid = advert cost.
