AI Voice Cloning

In Italy, scammers pulled off a chilling stunt.
They cloned the voice of Defence Minister Guido Crosetto and used it to trick high-profile figures like Giorgio Armani and former Inter Milan owner Massimo Moratti.
Claiming that journalists had been kidnapped and ransom was urgent, they got Moratti to transfer almost a million euros to a fake Hong Kong account.
The voice was convincing. The scam felt real.
And that’s the scary part, it sounded like him.
