In Nigeria, when you enter the market to buy something, what is the first thing many people ask?

“How much?”

Not “Is it durable?”
Not “Will it last?”
Not “Is it original?”

Just price.

Now watch this.

The same person that priced tomatoes for 10 minutes can enter a boutique and buy quality clothes without arguing too much.

Why?

Because they believe in the value.

That is how clients behave.

When they choose a cheaper designer, it is not always because they do not have money. It is because they do not see the difference between you and the cheaper option.

If your work looks like everybody’s work, you will be compared by price.

If your message is unclear, you will be negotiated.

If your positioning is weak, you will be reduced.

Price is not the real problem.
Perceived value is.

When clients understand that you are not selling “design” but clarity, structure, and results, they stop negotiating. They start respecting.
