*DESOPADEC Commissioner Inspects Projects in Ndokwa East, Attends Birthday, Condoles with Bereaved Family*
*DELTA* — Dr. Charles Olisa, KSM, JP, Commissioner representing the Ndokwa Ethnic Nationality on the Governing Board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, carried out a series of official engagements across Ndokwa East LGA and Asaba on May 2026.
*Project Inspection in Ndokwa East*
Dr. Olisa inspected several ongoing DESOPADEC projects in his mandate area, including the construction of an Assembly Hall at Oduga Secondary School, Ushie, Ndokwa East LGA.
Speaking to residents and community leaders at the sites, he assured them that all ongoing projects under the Ndokwa Ethnic Nationality mandate would be completed “soonest.” He added that new, high-impact projects would soon be deployed across all DESOPADEC mandate communities.
He commended the people of Ndokwa for their support for the board led by Olorogun Barr. John Nani, with Chief Surv. Festus Ochonogor as Managing Director/CEO. “The board remains committed to delivering significant, positive, and impactful projects in all DESOPADEC mandate communities, including Ndokwa Ethnic Nationality,” he said.
Dr. Olisa noted that DESOPADEC’s project delivery aligns with the MORE Agenda of the Delta State Government under Governor Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori. He cited the recent commissioning of the ultramodern Aboh Police Station, Ndokwa East LGA, by the governor on May 6, 2026, as evidence of the commission’s commitment.
*70th Birthday Celebration in Asaba*
After the inspections, Dr. Olisa joined his political leader, Chief Godwill Obielum, Onye Chukwu Yeni Ugo, at the 70th birthday anniversary of Hon. Elder Chike Ugwummadu, Iyasele of Abala Kingdom and former Chairman of Ndokwa East LGA. The event held at the celebrant’s residence in Asaba.
He offered prayers for the celebrant, asking God for many more years in good health and service to the kingdom.
*Condolence Visit*
Dr. Olisa later attended the burial ceremony of late Mrs. Veronica Chukwusah, mother of his classmates at Mater Dei Grammar School. He prayed for God’s comfort and fortitude for the Chukwusah family during their period of grief.
