Paul Debra Commissions Six Mono Pump Water Projects in Ekroro Family, Ovwian Community

The Executive of Ekroro Family in Ovwian Community, under the leadership of Dec. Paul Debra, on Wednesday, May 21, 2026, officially commissioned six mono pump water projects across the three quarters that make up the Ekroro Family.
The water projects, aimed at improving access to clean and safe water for residents, saw the installation of two mono pumps in each of the following quarters:
Ekrata Quarter
Uduvweyara Quarter
Ekreghweroro Quarter
The commissioning ceremony attracted community leaders, elders, youths, women, stakeholders, and residents from within and outside the community, who gathered to witness what many described as a landmark achievement for the Ekroro Family in Ovwian Community.
Speaking during the event, Dec. Paul Debra emphasized that the project was part of the leadership’s commitment to improving the welfare of the people and promoting sustainable community development. He noted that access to clean water remains one of the basic needs of every community and assured residents that the Ekroro Executive would continue to pursue projects that positively impact the lives of the people.
The initiative was widely commended by residents and dignitaries present at the event, who praised the Ekroro leadership for demonstrating unity, progress, and people-oriented leadership.

Also in attendance were the three Ekroro Quarter Chairmen, leaders from Oduvwohoro Family, community stakeholders, prominent businessmen and women, youths, elders, indigenes, and non-indigenes of the community.
The event was celebrated with traditional songs, cultural dances, and other entertaining cultural displays, adding colour and excitement to the historic occasion.
Residents described the commissioning of the six mono pump water projects as a major step toward enhancing the living conditions of the people and strengthening development efforts within the Ekroro Family and the wider Ovwian Community.
