🚨 IF WE ARE NOT CAREFUL, WE MAY LOSE THIS BLESSING

From day one, I have always said this to myself: sometimes, the biggest problem of an Ijaw man can be another Ijaw man. We must be honest with ourselves and accept responsibility where necessary.

Look at what is happening to our people because of this black sand. If we continue this way, we may end up watching others benefit from resources found in our own environment while our people remain disadvantaged.

If care is not taken, a young Ijaw man may be the one guarding and protecting this blessing, only for other people to eventually inherit the benefits.

We have already started seeing the signs.

This is not a call for conflict or hatred against any tribe. It is a call for unity, accountability, fairness, and protection of our community interests.

Our natural resources should bring opportunities, jobs and development to our people—not division and hardship.

Ijaw people, let us wake up. Let us stop pulling ourselves down and learn how to protect and help our own brothers and sisters.
