'‎After my sister got married to her husband that was about 9 years ago, ‎the man immediately traveled back a month after the wedding cuz he is based abroad. But ‎he promised that he was going to start processing her papers so that her visa would be out soonest in order to join him abroad.

‎A year passed & nothing was happening, according to what he said was the reason was that, – the papers kept delaying due to "lack of proof of strong family ties abroad". He would always come on holidays, especially every 2 years, to impregnate my sister & go back to the States. Even after the 4th pregnancy, my sister's papers kept delaying.

Actually, her husband provides everything for her & even built a very comfortable & well-equipped apartment for her & the kids. He also set up a very large boutique shop for her. She lacked nothing.
‎When the boy, their last child, was 2 years old, he came again to get her pregnant but my sister refused. She said unless her visa was ready, she was no longer going to take in for him. ‎This brought a lot of issues, especially from her husband & his family – they were very angry that they had paid everything for my sister's dowry yet she refused to get pregnant or allow her husband to touch her.

‎A lot of meetings were held, but my sister stood her ground. She insisted, saying she was tired of being lonely back home & only carrying babies as if she was a baby-making machine – if she couldn't be with her husband, she wasn't taking in anymore.. ‎Behold, coincidentally, just about a month later, my sister together with her 4 kids' visa was out. ‎My sister, together with the whole family, was so excited that we even threw a party to announce the good news.

‎The news came with so much excitement. A lot of people attended, ate, & drank to their satisfaction. My sister was super happy – after almost 10 years, she was finally going to travel abroad to be with her husband. ‎The day she was supposed to leave, I, my 2 cousin brothers, & an aunt all escorted her to the airport together with the kids, but something very strange happened.

‎Immediately we arrived at the airport, my sister started talking & acting strange – her words weren't making sense anymore. We were all shocked & confused what exactly was happening to her. ‎My elder sister suddenly ran mã'd right there at the airport before our very eyes. 😭😭

We did everything we could to bring Jessica back to normal, yet nothing worked. So, we brought her back home – till this day, it's been 3 months gone, she's still not well. ‎We called her husband, who is to arrive by next month. We've consulted several native doctors and even gone to several churches. We've fasted, we've prayed, tried everything we can, but nothing seems to be working. 😭😭😭

‎Please, if you should come across this, kindly put my sister in your prayers – she's a kind person, she doesn't deserve this thing that's happening to her. All she ever wanted was to be close to her husband and kids."

PREGNANT FOR FIVE YEARS

Written By: izomare Godspower

---

CHAPTER 3

It was already moving into two years, and I was still carrying the pregnancy. My belly had grown so big that sometimes even I got scared when I looked at myself in the mirror.

My mother-in-law’s attitude kept getting worse with each passing day. She never missed any chance to abuse me, especially when Daniel wasn’t around.

“Useless woman, you brought bad luck into this family,” she would whisper with venom in her voice.

But Daniel… Daniel was different. He had been a supportive husband right from the start. He kept taking care of me, rubbing my back whenever the pain was unbearable, and reminding me that I wasn’t alone.

“Don’t listen to them, love,” he would say. “This is our journey. God knows why it’s like this. I’m with you, always.”

His words gave me hope, but people outside didn’t make things easy.

Whenever I stepped out to buy something down the street, people pointed fingers at me. They whispered and laughed.

“See that woman, she’s a witch.”
“They say she ate her baby, that’s why she can’t deliver.”

Their words pierced through me like knives.

I was slowly becoming an outcast. At the market, things got worse. Many traders refused to sell to me. They would turn their faces away as if I wasn’t standing there.

One day, I went to buy fish from Mama Nkechi, a woman who used to be my best customer. For years, I never bought fish from anybody else but her. She knew me, she knew my family, yet on that day, she acted like she had never seen me in her life.

I walked up to her table.
“Mama Nkechi, good afternoon. Abeg, give me fish,” I said softly.

She raised her eyes and looked at me from head to toe, then hissed. Instead of answering, she pushed her tray of fish to the side as if my presence had polluted her goods.

“Please, don’t come near my market,” she said with her face squeezed. “Before you bring bad luck here.”

At first, I thought she was joking. I forced a smile and decided to tease her the way I normally did.
“Ah ah… customer customer, na me o,” I chuckled and stretched my hand to touch one of the fish.

Before I could even blink, she grabbed a bowl filled with fish water and poured it all over me.

The cold, dirty water splashed across my clothes, soaking me from head to toe.

The whole market went silent for a moment. Then, just like fire catching dry grass, laughter erupted everywhere.

“Ahhh! She poured her!”
“She’s smelling now, witch!”
“Eww… look at her!”
“Mama Nkechi, well done! You did the right thing.”
“Serves her right!”

People pointed fingers at me. Even those who didn’t know me held their noses as they walked past, laughing like they had just watched a comedy show.

I froze. My legs felt weak, my lips trembled, and tears rolled down uncontrollably. That moment was the greatest humiliation I had ever faced in my life.

I stood there, drenched in fish water, surrounded by mockery. My heart shattered into tiny pieces.

I couldn’t even find my voice to speak back. All I could do was walk away slowly, with tears wetting my cheeks.

That day, I realized the world had truly turned its back on me.

I Caught My Husband with My Sister… See What I Did

I never thought betrayal could hit this close… until I caught my husband, not a stranger, but with my own sister.

We’d been married three years, we loved each other deeply. We supported each other’s dreams, shared laughter, and leaned on each other through hard days.

My younger sister, a college student, often visited. She’d cook, help with chores, and sometimes we’d all watch football together. She was a Chelsea fan, my husband rooted for Manchester United, and their playful arguments always made me laugh. I saw nothing wrong with their closeness. After all, we were family.

Then one week, my husband fell ill. He was too weak to go to work and needed constant care. Our business still had to run, so I stepped in to cover for him. I called my sister and said, “Please, I’ll need you to come home and stay for some days. My husband isn’t strong.”

She replied, “No problem. I can do anything for you. I’m coming.”

And just like that, she was here.

After some days, my husband was back on his feet. But my sister didn’t just visit once in a while anymore, my husband often insisted she stayed longer. He always spoke highly of her. One day he told me, “Tell your sister to be careful with those college guys.”

I smiled. “Honey, she knows. She’s mature… but I’ll keep advising her anyway.”

On the days she stayed with us, my husband would come home with more gifts than usual. He always brought her ice cream, her favorite. They’d spend hours talking in the living room while I was busy in the kitchen. I smiled at their bond, never suspecting a thing.

Then came that morning.

It was our little routine, sometimes we’d share a quick moment together before the day began.
But that morning, he said, “Honey, I’m not in the mood. I’m feeling unwell and need the whole day to rest. I think yesterday’s work got to me, coupled with the fact that we slept late.”

I smiled. “It’s alright, darling. Trust me, the business won’t even feel your absence.”

We shared a quick smile, and I left for work.

Halfway there, I remembered I had left something at home for one of our staff members. I decided to rush back.

The moment I opened the door, I froze.

From somewhere inside, I heard a voice, my husband’s voice. Low. Playful. Almost teasing.

“You’re so sweet…”

My mind raced. Who was he talking to?

I followed the sound quietly, my heart pounding against my chest. It was coming from the kitchen.

Step by step, I moved closer…
And then… I saw them.

I froze at the sight.
They didn’t even notice me, their backs were turned.

Quietly, I walked away, straight to the bedroom.
I packed my things in silence.

I sat for a moment, my hands trembling, and wrote a short note.
I left it on the table, walked to the door, and slammed it shut so hard the sound echoed through the house.

The bang made them stop.
They rushed out, looked around… nothing.
Peeking through the window, they saw my car in the distance, speeding away.

Panic set in.
He ran to the bedroom — my clothes were gone.
He dashed back to the living room.
My sister was standing there, already reading the note with tears in her eyes.

I wrote:

“I’m gone. I can’t believe you did this to me with my own kid sister.
I am ashamed of you both.
From today, you are no longer my husband, and you are no longer my sister.”

They were shaking, crying, restless.

My sister left without a word, ashamed of herself. She locked herself in her apartment.
He called and texted me, I didn’t reply. His chest grew heavy, and he couldn’t bear the shock any longer.

That evening, a staff member found him collapsed and rushed him to the hospital.
Neighbors forced my sister’s door open they found her barely holding on.

When the news reached our parents, they were heartbroken.
Both families pleaded with me to forgive.

After long begging, persuasion, countless promises, and weeks of staying away…
I thought over it one night, and decided to have a family meeting with everyone.

The next day, they were all gathered.
I stood before them and said:

“I’m here because of my peace.”

I turned to my sister.

“I’ve forgiven you… but I pray you’ll never experience this when you get married.”
Tears streamed down her cheeks.

Then I faced my husband.

“If I were the one, you would have never forgiven me. But you know what? Forgiveness doesn’t show weakness, it shows strength and maturity. I forgive you.”

The room fell silent.
He knelt down in tears, I walked up to him and hugged him; he cried on my shoulder like a child.
My sister joined, hugging me too.

People appreciated my kind of heart, and gradually, we rebuilt the love and trust we had lost but this time, more careful than ever.

I SAW MY BEST FRIEND WEARING MY FIANCÈ'S SHIRT AND WHAT HAPPENED NEXT, YOU WON'T BELIEVE IT...

..

FINAL CHAPTER

The video spread like wildfire.

By the next morning, it wasn’t just “a gist at the party” anymore, it was trending on WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram, even blogs. Titles flashed everywhere:

“Bride-to-be catches fiancé cheating with her best friend at his house on his bed.”

“Jason exposed! Love triangle ends in public disgrace.”

“Cynthia’s birthday ends in tears, literally.”

The comments under the blogs were merciless.

“So shameless. Betrayal of the highest order.”
“Imagine sleeping with your friend’s man. God forbid.”
“Mimi is too calm. If it were me, both of them would be in hospital now.”

I read them with a calm smile. I didn’t need to fight anymore; the world was fighting for me.

By Monday morning, Jason’s company dropped him from a major contract. His partners didn’t want “bad press” associated with their brand. The video of him kneeling and begging while people jeered was too embarrassing to overlook.

When he came to my father’s house, my dad refused to let him through the gate. “Leave before I call the police,” my father barked. “You will never marry my daughter.”

I watched from the balcony as Jason begged the gateman, sweat pouring down his face. But the gate stayed shut.

Later that night, I got a long message from him:

“Mimi, please. I know I failed. I know I hurt you. But you are the only woman I truly love. Don’t let go of us.”

I didn’t reply. Instead, I blocked his number.
..

Cynthia, on the other hand, went underground.

Her social media pages vanished one by one. Friends whispered that she couldn’t step out without people mocking her, pointing fingers, shouting “Happy Birthday, disgrace!” whenever she passed.

At the salon, nobody sat with her anymore. At the office, colleagues mocked her captions from last week: “Real men know their real woman.”

She called me once from a strange number, her voice broken. “Mimi… please… I’m sorry. I don’t know what came over me. I’ve lost everything.”

I listened quietly, then said, “Cynthia, when you betray a sister, you don’t just lose her. You lose yourself.” Then I ended the call.
..

It wasn’t easy. Nights came when I still cried, asking myself why they did it, why people I loved chose to hurt me. But each morning, I rose stronger.

Tola never left my side. She would hold me and whisper, “Mimi, you’ve won. You showed them you can’t be broken. That’s power.”

I focused on my work, poured my pain into success. My father, proud of how I handled myself, invested in a small business idea I had postponed for too long. Within months, it started growing.
..

Six months later, I ran into Jason at a mall. He looked thinner, his suit was no longer sharp.

“Mimi,” he whispered, his eyes were watery. “You look beautiful. I… I miss you.”

I smiled politely. “Jason, I don’t hate you. I just thank God I saw your true self before it was too late.”

He reached for my hand. “Can’t we try again?”

I pulled my hand away gently. “No, Jason. Some broken things are not meant to be fixed. I forgive you… but I will never return to you.”

As I walked away, I felt light, free.
..

Epilogue

Cynthia disappeared completely from our circle. Nobody knows where she is now, and honestly, nobody cares.

Jason kept chasing shadows, his reputation scarred, his career never the same.

And me? I rose higher. Stronger. Wiser.

Sometimes revenge is not about destroying others. It’s about letting them destroy themselves while you walk away shining.

So I walked away… and I shined.

My Wife Always Wears a Red Gown Once It’s Midnight

Episode 6

She was finally ready to open up about the secret behind the red gown. I could see the fear in her eyes, but also a quiet determination, as if she had carried this burden for far too long.

Her voice trembled as she leaned toward me. “It all started after I was born. My mother introduced me to something we called the Red Nite. She was a key figure. I grew up believing in it. We wore the gowns, and through them… we were connected all over. But she warned me, if I didn’t wear mine at midnight, something would come for me, and I would never return.”

I sighed, this was the first time I had ever heard anything like this. “So why didn’t you tell me all this while?” i said

Tears streamed down her face as she looked away. “Because I thought you’d leave me. I didn’t want to lose you. But now… if you choose to go, I’ll understand.”

I felt my heart break. “And your mother… what happened to her?”

Her grip tightened around my hands like she was holding on to life itself. "She broke the rules. And then… she was gone. They said she was taken, at least, that’s what we believed. After that, they handed me her apron and told me I would take her place."

The room suddenly felt smaller. My chest tightened as the reality of her words sank in.

I sighed, then whispered, “The elder told me to buy you more gowns. Does that mean anything?”

She nodded slowly. “Yes. It means you’ve accepted my bond… even without realizing it.”

Her words chilled me to the bone. It was as if my love for her had unknowingly tied me to a world I didn’t belong to.

“And your friends?” I asked, my voice cracking. “Why did they come here and warn me?”

She looked down, her voice faint. “They’re part of it too. Every August 1st, we gather. It’s our tradition. No man is allowed to interfere. It’s dangerous.”

Then her voice broke completely. “I just want to sleep peacefully at night. I wish I could stop living this way… I wish I was free. I’m scared. I don’t want to end up like my mother.”

Tears welled in my eyes. This wasn’t the moment for blame. This wasn’t the time to argue about secrets. I pulled her close and whispered, “I’m here for you. We’ll face this together.”

She rested in my arms, sobbing. In that moment, I finally understood, this wasn’t just about saving our marriage. It was about saving her life.

Desperate for help, I searched through my contacts until I found the number of an old friend from school, a man of strong faith. That night, we called him. My wife poured out everything she had hidden since we got married.

He listened patiently before giving us clear instructions.

His words felt heavy, but they gave us hope. Trembling, yet determined, we followed through that night. Together, we threw everything that had bound her to the past.

The days that followed weren’t easy. She battled fear, doubts, and nights of restlessness. But slowly, she came out strong.

Months later, joy finally returned to our home. She gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, our symbol of a new beginning.

Now, we sleep in peace. No secrets. No midnight troubles. Just love, trust, and a reminder that sometimes the only way forward is to face your battles head-on and stand by the ones you love.

Sometimes, battles are not meant to be fought alone.

And this one, we won together.

Episode 9✅

Raymond tried to interrupt several times, but the judge raised her hand.

“You’ll have your turn, Mr. Okoy. Let her finish.”

When Susan finally sat down, the judge adjusted her glasses, picked up the file, and spoke.

“After careful review of the evidence presented to this court, witness statements, certified documents, recordings, and financial logs, this court finds that the marital trust, and all attached business holdings, properties, and assets belong legally and solely to Mrs. Erica Okcoy.”

A gasp spread through the room. Raymond’s jaw dropped.

“Furthermore,” the judge continued, “this court notes a recurring pattern of financial abuse and emotional manipulation confirmed by both primary and third party sources. While criminal charges are still under independent investigation, this court hereby strips Mr. Okoy of all rights and access to the shared businesses, homes, and accounts.”

Raymond tried to speak, but no words came. He slumped back into his seat, humiliated and defeated. It was over.

Outside the courtroom, cameras flashed as Erica and Susan walked down the stairs.

A reporter called out, “Mrs. Okoy, any final words?”

Erica stopped, turned slightly, and said softly, “The truth speaks. Sometimes it just takes time.” Then she walked away.

Sandra met her at the car.

“It’s just a matter of time now,” she said. “Once the fraud investigation is done, he’ll be locked up for good.”

Erica nodded. She didn’t smile. She didn’t gloat. There was still pain in her chest. But there was also peace. The nightmare was almost over.

And the life she gave up to build for someone else. She was ready to rebuild it for herself.

Just a few days after the courtroom victory, Erica thought the dust was finally starting to settle. She was wrong.

Sandra called on a Wednesday afternoon. “There’s something you need to hear,” she said over the phone. “It’s about the girl Raymond is with now.”

Erica paused mid email. “Another one.”

“She’s not just anyone. Her name is Tina, a university student. Young, naive, reminds me too much of you. I think her story is similar to yours.”

Erica’s heart sank. They arranged to meet that evening at a quiet rooftop cafe in Victoria Island. Sandra came with files, screenshots, and a calm fire in her eyes.

“I did some digging. Tina thinks she’s his future wife. He’s been grooming her for years.”

Erica was silent. A cold heaviness grew in her chest. “Does she know about me? The case?”

Sandra shook her head. “I don’t think so. I think he probably fed her the same lies. But they have been together for so long, even before he married you.”

Erica’s breath caught in her throat. “Wait, before?”

Sandra nodded. “Yes, I don’t know exactly how long.”

Erica sat back, stunned. All this time, she had believed Raymond started cheating after the marriage. But now it was clear. The betrayal had begun before she even wore the wedding gown.

She felt like she was the mistress in her own marriage.

“We need to talk to her,” Erica said quietly.

They reached out gently, not through threats or shame, just honesty. It took some convincing, but Tina finally agreed to meet them alone in a neutral space.

She arrived nervously, her backpack clutched tightly to her chest. Her eyes were tired. Her hands trembled slightly when she reached for the glass of water on the table.

“I’m sorry for meeting like this,” Erica began softly, “but we needed to tell you the truth.”

Tina looked between them, unsure.

Sandra pulled out a folder. “We’re not here to hurt you. We’re here because you deserve to know who you’re really with.”

At first, Tina defended him.

“He told me you were never really his wife. That you are not obedient,” she said quietly. “And that you were just part of a business arrangement, a phase. He said he had to marry you to gain leverage, but I’m the one he loves. Truly, I’m his real wife.”

Erica blinked, stunned, but composed.

TBC …

The storm wasn’t over yet. Raymond’s secrets were far darker and deeper than anyone imagined. And the next revelation would break everything wide open.

CHAPTER 8

For the next one week, Cynthia was everywhere.

At the salon, she sat with pride, telling anyone who cared to listen:
“Men know what they want. Jason was never for Mimi, he was only waiting for the right time to choose me.”

At the office, she carried herself like a queen, dropping hints to colleagues:
“Don’t be surprised if you hear wedding bells soon. Jason doesn’t joke with me.”

On social media, her captions grew bolder:
“A real man knows his real woman.”
“They thought I was the side chick, but see who’s standing in the main place now.”

Each time I saw her posts, I only smiled. The louder she shouted, the harder she would fall.

---

One evening, Tola rushed to my house, almost out of breath.

“Mimi! Guess what? Cynthia is throwing a birthday party for herself next week at one big hall. She’s inviting all her friends, even Jason’s business partners!”

I raised my brows slowly. “Oh really? A party?”

“Yes o! And you know that girl, she will use the chance to flaunt Jason publicly. She even said she has a ‘special announcement’ to make that night.”

I leaned back in my chair, tapping my fingers on the table. “Perfect. That will be the stage.”

Tola looked at me curiously “Stage? Mimi, what are you planning again?”

I gave her a cold smile. “Cynthia wants an audience, right? Then I’ll give her one. Let her gather the whole world, I’ll make sure her disgrace matches the size of her pride.”

---

The days rolled by quickly. Cynthia’s birthday invitation spread everywhere. Some of our old schoolmates called me just to gossip:

“Mimi, have you seen? Cynthia says Jason is sponsoring the whole thing.”
“Hmm, maybe they will even announce engagement that night.”

I only laughed. Let them talk. Let Cynthia feel like she had already worn the crown.

Jason, on the other hand, was restless. His calls didn’t stop.

Jason (voice note): “Mimi, please… don’t come to that party. Cynthia doesn’t matter to me. You’re the one I love.”

But I ignored him. Because I knew something he didn’t know.

---

The night before the party, I stood by my mirror, fixing my makeup kit carefully into my bag. Tola sat on my bed, watching me like she always did.

“Mimi, are we really going tomorrow?”

I nodded firmly. “Yes. Tomorrow is the beginning of Cynthia’s fall. She has built her pride high enough… now it’s time to push.”

Tola shivered. “I don’t even know how you managed to stay so calm, Mimi. I would have torn her apart long ago.”

I smiled faintly. “Because sometimes, silence is more dangerous than noise. By the time I’m done, Cynthia will wish she never crossed me.”

---

The next evening, the hall was glittering with lights and music. Cynthia walked in like a goddess, wearing a red dress that hugged her body. Jason followed behind her, looking uncomfortable but pretending to smile.

The crowd clapped, cameras flashed, music played.

Cynthia lifted her glass of wine and shouted: “Tonight, we celebrate! Not just my birthday, but new beginnings. And before this night ends, I have a surprise for all of you!”

The crowd cheered. Jason looked down at his feet.

And me? I walked into that hall slowly, dressed in black. Heads turned. Whispers spread.

The music lowered. Cynthia’s eyes widened the moment she saw me.

I smiled faintly and said, loud enough for everyone to hear:

“Yes, Cynthia. Tonight, let’s celebrate… your downfall.” I smirked.
